Gundogan to sign new contract?

Was class last season, but I think much better in the deep midfield position these days. With us signing Rodri I don't think he'll play in too many of the bigger games.
 
Little story about Ilkay and why I'll always think the world of the fella

My eldest had a major op in April. A relative knows somebody who knows Ilkay and arranged to get a city shirt signed by him. But instead he took it into training and got the whole squad to sign it, then sent my lad a video message to his mobile, Total respect for the bloke and he's now my lads hero !!!

David is definitely leaving, but I’m not certain about Fernandinho. It’ll all depend on his output in the second half of th season. No reason he can’t keep playing.

I just don’t think Ilkay is going to get much playing time, unless there are injuries, and he’s coming towards the business end of his career, where a career move puts the icing on the cake. Ergo, he tries for a move while he can still get one with a few zeroes on the end of his cheque.

We have some good talent coming through and it would only take one midfield transfer to fill that potential hole, especially if Foden/Bernardo are the heirs apparent to David.
