The concern is obviously with serious injuries not minor knocks. Do all players make a full recovery from serious injury?

You are reading far far too much shit.Apart from the obvious knee injury and a bruised foot (which can happen to anyone) the rest are all trivial injuries and sickness related.

My concern, and it is not a negative post, is that after a season that has been blighted with injuries to key players, why are we interested in Wiltshire, Laporte and Gundogan?

Wiki says he's played 105 league games over 5 seasons. That's OK.

Not ideal for a player to miss a pre-season and start of season under a new coach in a new league. That will make it very difficult to settle in.

Wouldn't go near Gundogen now, prior to this injury he was worth the risk despite his injury record but not now.

We would be crazy to take him if those reports are correct. We need a good pre season with our new players fit and raring to go.

This reminds me of how Julian Draxler ends up at Wolfsburg instead of Arsenal despite so many reports they wanted to sign him all based on injury fears. They decided not to sign him when they could really use him instead of the Campbell's and Walcott's now it's Wolfsburg with the quality player.

If we are being briefed of this news I'm sure the club is getting even more news and if they want to still go ahead and they still feel it's worth it so we don't end up like Arsenal then so be it. Xhaka isn't IG and he has a desciplinary record where with our luck of our MF's always picking up cards and his temper he might not stay on the field much either.
