Gutted

I'll keep the faith until the death.....
Just out of interest, has anyone looked at a comparative of performances before and after the podgy Argentinian decided to waltz back in to the camp??

I must admit I feel a little down after the red scum result last night, but we still have a chance of being champions. Regretfully my heart says we will win but my head says the rags have the edge now.
No matter what happens I would like to finish this our best season in years with a another great win over the rags at least the double over them would rub their noses in it. So fellow blues lets get behind the lads a no matter what happens or what is reported by the gutter press lets show everyone that we are true supporters and just in it for the glory.

Come on people, be positive. We will still win the league this year. They cannot carry on playing so poorly and getting results. I can't beleive the negativity on here at times.

Been on a downer since Swansea. It's turned into one big nightmare this season after promising so much. There last minute goal against Norwich and there lucky win at Spurs changed the momentum of the title race and gave them added confidence. We have gone into our shell at the worst stage of the season. Win at Arsenal and we still have slim chance. Apart from us they still have Everton and Sunderland to play, which won't be as easy as people make out. Hope we learn our lesson next season and come back twice as strong.

I felt the same way after Swansea, i only hope the lads now think nothing to lose so go for it. I honestly dont believe the rags thought they could win it until those Norwich and Spuds results, we can talk about team selection all day long for away games but right now we just have to go for it

Is it any wonder the scum are the most despised set of arseholes in world football? Why is it everyone outside of real football support is up their arse? Last nights commentry on sky was nothing short of a disgrace. So one sided and even resorting to slagging us off. Disgrace!

I've watched Utd the last 2 Mondays and seen them benefit from a late penalty not given last week and winning with 2 late goals tonight.

If we were giving 5 points up to Barca, Madrid or Utd teams of past years, I'd say it was definitely over. However this Utd team is nowhere near as good as any of these and I expect them to drop points at some stage.

Question is whether we're good enough to win all/most of our games? Our current form would say it's unlikely, but there's still hope.

I want to push them all the way and if they win it, make them earn it, rather than meekly surrender it to them.

As it stands, a draw for them and a victory for us in the Derby puts us level. Whatever happens, we need to take it as far as we can, otherwise we'll be under the same pressure next Mar/Apr when we're challenging for the title again. I want us to encounter the heat of a title run in. Invaluable experience for future seasons.
I agree completely.

The problem is likely to be with us, rather than them. They only need to draw one game (outside the derby) to open the door for us again, and I'm absolutely certain that will happen. But wed have to win every single game between now and the end of the season if we are to capitalise. That's the bit I can't see happening, unfortunately.

If we completely blow this in the next two games, we're not even going to get the benefit of experiencing a full blood-and-thunder title run in, and that would be a real shame after the way we performed for the first three quarters of the season.

In one of my defeatist moments recently I and a few mates were saying that if we're going to lose it, we may as well lose it now rather than have the prospect of them winning it at ours which would be pretty hard to stomach.

Your post is an example of why that train of thought is wrong. We need to keep this alive as long as possible as the experience, even if we don't manage it, should benefit the players in the long run.

It's unlikely we'll win it now but stranger things have happened. Keep the gap to 5 points come the derby and then we have a chance to cut it to 2 and although I've said previously and stand by my view that whoever is leading after the derby will almost certainly win it, cutting the gap to 2 points will give United a lot to think about in the final 2 games because as things stand they might be expecting to have shaken us off well before then.

Very strange choice of word.

Whilst it's still possible you can't honestly believe, base on current form, that we're going to do it.

Rags are in the zone whilst we are faltering. They'll most likely be 8pts clear by the time we play Arsenal....and even if we do somehow manage to win it, we've got games like Newcastle away to come and they've got games like Wigan.
