for me personally today was typical of how everton and moyes are. no disrespect to city but i would sooner we beat wigan last week than any victory today. sadly today will just paper over the cracks again and most lads i sat with today would still like to see the back of moyes.

I don't think most of us will see that as disrespect. We don't understand why you're treating us like the cup final, & the chance to play in the cup final doesn't raise it.

most of our fans don't and i know that sounds hypocritical after today !! but, under moyes we have never won at anfield, arsenal , united or chelsea in the league.it's a sign of how far you have come that some of ours do. goodison would not have been the same if we had beaten fulham with 10 men. look at last season in the semi v liverpool, again moyes bottled it. even today where he takes off mirallas and puts on naismith -anyone could see anichebe was shattered. he stutters to results - the man is clueless.

I don't think he's clueless, I think he's outdone Mancini on both occasions this season, but wining stuff of course is different. I do think Everton as a club are getting too hysterical about stuff & the atmosphere at Goodison last week reminded me of City's many similar failures on such occasions in the past.

It's a combination of manager, chairman, players & fans all kind of worried about failure rather than just going for success.

But the feeling today from outside was 'ah, everything is fine now we've beaten City'.

lol, but as we are the club supported by George VI, the Queen, her mum, Prince Harry,King Olav of Norway, Fidel Castro and Mick Jagger we measure our trophy cycles in terms of sovereigns and not popes. Arab royalty is your thing.What I cant work out about bin Laden is why he allegedly sat in the Clock(cheapest end plus i never saw him) rather than the good seats.If he'd used his money differently we'd be going for our 9th consecutive CL trophy and he'd still be alive.

Instead he decided that going to war with the western world would be a better option - cant say I blame him on that one.. :-)

when you can't win anything else these games assume significance way beyond their actual significance to those fans who will know no other success

I'm sure they would love the investment we have had,they too would then enjoy the privelages of wealth.Moyes too would have a lovely CV.
