It wasn't shoulder to shoulder
It was an attempted shoulder to shoulder and the player leaned in front of him denying him the shoulder. I think it's a bit disingenuous to claim he wasn't attempting a fair challenge. You don't say "it wasn't a sliding tackle" when they don't get the ball. Clearly you can see what they were attempting in both instances.

Correct decision, harsh rule IMO. I think we are allowed an opinion on that aren't we?

As for this one, in the still frame, it looks like his knee is playing him offside. Though you can't say it's clear at which exact point it left KDB's boot from that angle because it's obstructed by KDB. I'd still say we should let that one go though, reasonable enough call with what they have.

Where did I "claim" anything, I stated a fact, the impact wasn't shoulder to shoulder so it's a foul. Whether a player "attempts a fair challenge" or not doesn't come into it in the context of that incident. He didn't attempt to play the ball, which was key to the red card.

All late tackles would then not be fouls if it was an attempt at a fair tackle.
