Hacienda-Happy 30th Birthday

Too young for the Hac, but had some belting nights in the Ritz. Nice to see they've done a decent job of refurbishing the place.

The maddest nights out we ever had were at Jilly's Friday All-nighter (9pm-7am). I once went in the goth room once to be confronted by the sight a fat girl sucking off a fatter bloke before spitting his jizz into a nearby pint. Not sure the pint's owner even noticed.

Sadly I was 14 at the time. I had to make do with iggy and bucket bongs from my mates bedroom..

Would have loved to have been in the thick of it :)

never went to the dance nights, just the Indie nights on a Thursday, Stone Love.
Fist time i went was to see Cabaret Voltaire around 1984 ish.
Saw New Order, Inspiral Carpets, Happy Mondays (Hillsborough tribute night), Railway Children and the Brilliant Corners there!

Don't get me on about the bastard bouncers though.... cunts.

Does anybody remember 'foot patrol' a dance troupe that used to go in the hacienda, used to wear spats and the like

Wasn't there one called The Jazz Defektors?
Don't remember them off the top of my head, but remember when house was just breaking you used to get the odd group of dicks turn up dressed as 1930's Chicago gangsters

SANKEYS

is definitely the best place for a quality night out in town

Bouncers are fucking bell ends.

We went to go to a night there a couple of months ago, with tickets, and were turned away without a reason!

There was no dress code and none of us were balooning, simply we just didn't look 'studenty' enough!! :/

Think I went about 4 times and saw new order there once which was brilliant.
Remember calling Mick hucknall a c..t at the bar when I was pissed one night

Well over rated in my opinion. I went a good few times and didn't think it was anything special.
