I believe they turned the drain off to try and get the game abandoned. Can only turn it back on using a six fingered hand :P

When Wiley came out after halftime and rolled the ball towards the middle, I thought, he is looking for a reason to call it off!de niro said:nozzyblue said:They had about 3 out, but they were doing fuck all and didn't even bother going anywhere near the corner where most of the puddles were forming. defo trying to get the game abandoned mate.

However spoke to my bro who watched it and he said that what he saw they didnt even have many if any out pitchforking the pitch.
Can anyone at the match confirm this... smells of bad sportsmanship if they didnt, trying to get the game abandoned!
Perhaps they had run out of fork handles?

Thanks Alan!

rickmcfc said:In fairness to Burnley, the pitch first half was fairly good, nothing compaired to sunderlands a few weeks back, aweful. That was a very very heavy downpour, any premiership ground would have struggled with that amount of rainfall in such a short amount of time. I actually dont even blame Brian Laws attempting to get the game called off, i would have excpected city to do the same thing given the circumstances.

surely a team reaching the prem the pitch should be of that standard.if not they should not be allowed in. had that been called off it would have lifted spurs immensly.
