Hansen, Lawrensen and Shearer bring shame on the BBC

Hang on, this racist and xenophobic team of pundits at the BBC wouldn't be the same group of ex players that have been practically drooling over Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure all season would it?

We all love Balotelli but by god how can anyone not admit that he can be frustrating at times? I said a lot worse about him after the Arsenal game that's for sure, but then he goes and produces a bit of magic and it's all good again.

Why don't people just realise that he may not be to everyone's tastes, he's hardly a saint like Aguero is he?

This is for comedy... isn't it? Would Alan Hansen risk his million pound salary by dissing every black player at City? See what Joey Barton did ON THE PITCH last season? Anyone want a large bet that the BBC don't treat him as badly as Balo when he gets back from his ban...

I have argued that racism is part of the picture with Mario and some of the BBC pundits. I actually am proud of the English game as we are light years ahead of other associations but far from perfect. I also believe Monkfish and DidsburyDave are right to warn against over using the race claim. It does detract in situations where racism is a genuine hate crime. I would like to thank these two posters for maintaining the balance on this board in the wider interests of racial equality and see them both as helping to move the agenda forward with their cautioning.

Not illegal at all, but neither is calling him a bit of an idiot for doing the above
You're wasting your time, mate, just like this lot. Let them get on with it. Hopefully the thread is too dull to go viral and embarrass city further. They'll fizzle themselves out in a week or so when the next justice campaign comes on the horizon. They always do.

Hey, I'm laughing at the futility, militancy and utter embarrassing melodrama of this whole shambles of a thread. I'm not moving any 'agenda' forward. My agenda is common sense in the distorted prism of a football forum.

Football pundits are often a bit shit. Turn off or live with it. Stop embarrassing my club with your 'illiterate of Tunbridge Wells' emails. Noone cares at the BBC or anywhere else. They get innundated with this drivel all day every day.

Keyboards for justice.

sorry to piss on others chips, but DD has it spot on here.

The BBC is quietly acknowledging that Balo was treated unfairly which is a breach of its Charter obligations. It will fight against racism allegations to its dying breath because it would be forced to sack people.

This campaign and the one on Twitter will lead to change so well done to the people on here. The dense parasitic trolls who have feasted on this thread really should start their own and here's a title they might like to use;

Ron Atkinson - Wat Did e' Do Rong...

Should be a great read.

Bit precious aren't we pal, seeing I wasn't defending or attacking him but merely commenting on a picture?

Savages, I say savages they are.

Indeed!

Mario gets as much praise as he does stick in the media. His bank balance will be loving ALL of it. The brand that is 'Mario Balotelli' is growing every day.

The BBC will get thousands of emails from all sorts of people complaining about all sorts of things. There will be Scots complaining about the news being England centric, there will be Northerners complaining that the news is London centric, there will be Londoners complaining that the news is middle class London centric, there will be religious complaints and race complaints and sexism complaints in their hundreds on a daily basis. There will be an office of people paid a shit wage whose job is to send automated response emails out to all these people. Some may get passed on and looked at but in the end very little will ever change.

Only a clueless troll would try to downplay and dismiss the continuous, over-the-top, unprofessional, totally unnecessary, hateful, mostly inaccurate, downright pathetic bile and mostly just plain lies constantly aimed at a 21 year old footballer by the same handful of grown men as simply ''calling him a bit of an idiot''. Also, the BBC may receive a billion complaints per second but an effort was clearly made to try and at least bring some balance to the nonsense spouted by those agenda-driven fuckwits so the complaints have certainly not fallen on deaf ears as is being suggested even if the prejudice has not been totally eradicated.
