Hansen, Lawrensen and Shearer bring shame on the BBC

Only a clueless troll would try to downplay and dismiss the continuous, over-the-top, unprofessional, totally unnecessary, hateful, mostly inaccurate, downright pathetic bile and mostly just plain lies constantly aimed at a 21 year old footballer by the same handful of grown men as simply ''calling him a bit of an idiot''. Also, the BBC may receive a billion complaints per second but an effort was clearly made to try and at least bring some balance to the nonsense spouted by those agenda-driven fuckwits so the complaints have certainly not fallen on deaf ears as is being suggested even if the prejudice has not been totally eradicated.
Quite right. As an ordinary poster I totally agree and support you in this. What was said is in clear contravention of the BBC editorial guidelines re not causing gratuitous offence or humiliation in the cause of entertainment.

As a mod, the trolling & sneering aimed at people who do believe the BBC are wrong falls into the same category. If you don't agree that's fine and everyone's entitled to their opinion but gratuitous insults are not acceptable. I thought we'd all agreed that life's too short for this crap and we were having a fresh start.

What were you saying about "...building bridges..." DD?

I'm failing to see what is wrong with that picture?

I see a young man on a Shisha pipe, is that illegal?

I see a young man drinking champers, is that illegal?

I see a young man surrounded by fairly nice looking women, is that illegal?

In fact, the only thing that does freak me out is the Freddy Mercury gay 'tache disguise that Jason Manford's wearing!

Fairly nice looking women, you say? I guess if 'heroin chic' is your thing.

Have Girls Aloud split up for good?

Lol at Girls Aloud.

Getting back to the BBC punditry team. Can someone please point out where these pundits have been 'racist'?

No you can't. If they were they'd be out on their arse, no questions asked. Then their only hope of re-employment would be spewing spiel through TalkShite.

Incidentally, is that Joleon sat to Mario's left?

Hang on, this racist and xenophobic team of pundits at the BBC wouldn't be the same group of ex players that have been practically drooling over Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure all season would it?

We all love Balotelli but by god how can anyone not admit that he can be frustrating at times? I said a lot worse about him after the Arsenal game that's for sure, but then he goes and produces a bit of magic and it's all good again.

Why don't people just realise that he may not be to everyone's tastes, he's hardly a saint like Aguero is he?

This is for comedy... isn't it? Would Alan Hansen risk his million pound salary by dissing every black player at City? See what Joey Barton did ON THE PITCH last season? Anyone want a large bet that the BBC don't treat him as badly as Balo when he gets back from his ban...

<a class="postlink" href="http://turnoffprejudice.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/in-the-city/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://turnoffprejudice.wordpress.com/2 ... -the-city/</a>

Guess it goes well with that comedy blog article you sent a link to. 'We cracked the BBC's secret racist code' or whatever it's called. I'm a big fan of conspiracies but i'm afraid I just don't buy this one.

At the end of the day Alan Hansen and friends are paid to provide an opinion and as the saying goes 'you cant please everybody all of the time'. The minute he says something racist about Mario then I will join in with this campaign but as far as I'm concerned the BBC pundit's have only ever questioned his attitude and that has nothing to do with his race.

As Didsbury Dave points out the whole thread is an embarrassment and I seriously hope opposing fans aren't reading this as they will be having a right old laugh at our expense. Just as we did when Kenny Dalglish claimed there was a conspiracy against Liverpool FC last season for all manner of things.

Seriously, lighten up, get off your pointless crusade, enjoy life and stop making our club look stupid

Give over, PB, and stop being so melodramatic. You should know better.

It's not "trolling and sneering" if I disagree with someone's opinion or stance. I've made the point, clearly and succinctly, and had no response of any substance:

The reason Balotelli gets bad press is because the British press are lazy and prone to caracatures. And the only way Balotelli is going to stop that is by scoring loads of goals and refraining from getting photgraphed in nightclubs looking like a gangster.

All this "campaign" nonsense is exactly that. Nonsense. A waste of time, same old tripe that is all over the internet.

And don't start playing "Mod" with me for having an opinion and expressing it. I haven't broken the code of conduct and I haven't insulted anyone.

What is ironic about your post mate is that you are wasting your time on something you believe is a waste of time, if you know what I mean.

It can't be that much of a waste of time if you commented on it, surely?

On the contrary, mate.

I am generiously donating my time to stop others wasting theirs ;-)
