Hansen, Lawrensen and Shearer bring shame on the BBC

Halfcenturyup has posted an excellent response already but as your post is addressed to me I'll also respond.

If I'd insulted you you'd know about it but being a mod I have to be careful. For a poster with less than 10 posts you have a really bad attitude. You don't need a degree to post on Bluemoon but you do need to observe the Code of Conduct, which asks you to respect other users and not be confrontational & aggressive. As a mod, that's my particular bugbear. There's room for all shades of opinion on here but please take isuse with the opinion and not the person or people expressing it.

Right so now you're resorting to threatening me hahaha and i'm the one with the bad attitude? The worst I have done is offer my opinion that I believe that some members are paranoid by claiming that the pundits on the BBC have a personal vendetta against City and Mario Balotelli.

I have read posts on this forum for some time, it was only this particular thread that evoked enough emotion in me to actually bother to sign up. I have been accused of being a member of the media, unintelligent and now a confrontational and aggressive person, I think I am entitled to defend myself in that situation. Maybe sarcasm has been my biggest crime, for that I apologise and will try to tone it down in future.

Perhaps as a mod you should practise what you preach regarding the code of conduct, issuing threats and insults to new members is hardly setting a good example.
Oh dear.

Sorry have I missed something ?? You`ve been threatened ?? Where ??

Fair enough, but without trying to sound condescending, you should always express your opinions whenever you think that is appropriate, whatever the forum. So if you have strong feelings about the way the BBC has handled the John Terry affair, or even the uprising in Syria, you should feel free to make your views known. I would suggest, however, that your views will have more weight if they are respectful and self-moderated. I am not sniping at you with that comment, it goes equally for all of us who have sometimes "lost it" in this forum, in the bar, or in front of our TV screens.

Just pointing out the irony of his/her comment.

And it's the whole attitude of complaining without offering any solutions to the problem that get's me. It gives the impression that your just looking for something to moan about.

But just so I'm clear on the matter for future reference, what is the protocol on sending complaints to the BBC? Do we only defend our own players? That would be a little hypocritical wouldn't it and we may get accused of paranoia?

Do we send letters of praise to the BBC when Mario Balotelli receives a favourable review on MOTD? I think it's only fair.

Another poster who can't put forward an intelligent argument but resorts to insults aimed at posters who can.

Us "deluded/paranoid" fans pay the BBC licence fee and are entitled to our say. How do you know the club haven't said anything anyway? I'm willing to bet they have but it's not their style to splash things all over the media.

My apologies, I wasn't aware that a masters degree in internet posting was one of the pre-requisites of joining Blue-Moon and wow, it takes a pretty conceited person to claim authority on judging who's opinions are intelligent/unintelligent by the way?

Also, you're highly patronising statement of 'resorting to insults' whilst simultaneously insulting myself proves you may not be quite as clever as you think you are.

Anyway I'm not going to retract my statement about certain members being paranoid, that's still my opinion on the matter. I still feel if the issue was as clear as some claim it to be then the club would be forced to issue some form of public statement condemning the BBC.

However, if there is indeed a vendetta against Mario then I would be extremely interested in hearing your ideas on a solution for the 'problem'? Perhaps you could dumb it down for those of us unable to involve in intelligent discussions.

So of all the excellent positive and celebratory threads that have been knocking about since the end of the season, the reason you join is to bad mouth City fans? Not a good start imo....

RAG or someone who has been banned many times before or both?

MOTD punditry won't be any good until they start employing people on the basis of their ability to talk intelligently about football rather than to play it well. Going from reading articles by (for example) Jonathan Wilson, to listening to Shearer highlights why the difference is important.

This ^^^^^^

Wow, I choose not to agree with an opinion that Hansen, Lawrensen and Shearer have a personal vendetta against Balotelli because they are racist and I must be a 'rag'? That's a pathetic statement to make.

Not that you care, but I am a genuine City fan, have been for over 20 years and never really felt the need to justify my love for City by being a member of a Blue-Moon. I have enough real friends to speak to if I want a conversation about football.

However seeing the attitude from some fans since we became big time with the 'everyone's out to get us' mentality is a bit disappointing and the reason I joined was to light heartedly suggest there may be a bit of an overreaction from some bordering on paranoia.

Most of the criticism aimed at City is out of jealousy and that's fine by me, it comes with success. Some of you seem to get really worked up by any little bit of negative press and I do understand that, personally I prefer to laugh it off.

Good luck with the campaign
