For today he is my favourite city player loved watching him growing up in the 70's. Colin bell would of been my all time fav but sadly i only remember him fighting back from injury, any good stories about tueart would be great to hear from fellow blues who watched him, 76 overhead kick best goal at wembley imo and who was at maine road in the 80's when he got 4 v Notts County in a 5-1 win in the league cup ?

I remember him destroying Utd in a League Cup tie when we beat them 4-0. Sadly Colin got his injury that night.

Happy Birthday DTKOAG.
For me as a guy in his mid 40's he was simply the best.
The game against Boro in the League cup semi final in 76 when we won 4-0 stands out for me.

It does for me to i got thrown out the ground for over celebrating towards the boro fans, he was as you said simply the best .

Happy Birthday Dennis.

My favourite player when I started supporting City. Always remember the sock tie ups showing and copying the style at school.

I remember a great goal when Joe Royle headed a ball down straight into Dennis' run who half volleyed it into the roof of the net.

Lots of great memories.

Loved Tueart, still do.
Him and Hartford were my idols in the late 70's/early 80's
Both left and came back and obviously loved the club, well they certainly played like they did unlike some of our recent "stars"
Their training ground free-kick where Asa would flick it up to Dennis who would volley a shot on goal was pure class. Saw them try it twice at MR, think they scored with it against possibly Swansea.

I remember that goal it was at the North Stand end where I was sat. Great to see something like that come off. It was in Dennis's 2nd spell though I think he had his best days in his first spell mid to late 70s. He was some player in his pomp, how much would he have been worth in today's prices!?
