Happy Clapper thread

Our main issue is not so much scoring goals, but scoring them against the big clubs. So far this season, we have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 against the so-called big 6 (and not even clear if Arsenal even qualifies any more for this). We will need to be getting 4 or ideally 6 pts in the remaining games against Scum and Chelsea in first half of season. The derby is crucial - we know exactly what their gameplan will be, even playing at home. Can Pep adjust and prevent that?
This is the main issue. We have become flat track bullies this last 18 months, we need to do better in the big games. Scoring first every now and then would help.

Disappointing to be where we are in the league, especially below united, but it's not looking that bad really, win our game in hand, and we'd only be 3 points off the leaders, it looked a whole lot worse when we lost at spurs. None of the teams above us can have more than 21 points if the "in hand" games are played.

Got to laugh at Mourinho being lauded as the next great coming.
Spurs are welcome to the fucking dire 2 shots a game borefest he provides. It isnt brave or genius to get a side to defend and play on the break for 90 minutes (ask the bus driver).
Yes it can be effective for sure but it doesn't guarantee silverware. It certainly doesnt leave you as a fan satisfied or provide great entertainment. Spurs fans happy with that shit served up against Chelsea yesterday as any form of entertainment or as showcasing their many talented players skills are deluding themselves.
I always hope that type of football wins what it deserves - FUCK ALL!

On the Spurs post match thread I was accused of both being a happy clapper and a Trumper because I was in denial about how bad things were because I didn't think things were as bad as some were saying.
I still admit we are not at our best at the moment but I would agree with Cleavers regarding the reasons why we are where we are and where we will be once the goals start flowing.
Given the clowns that seem to exist only in the pre/during/post match threads I'd say you got off lightly.

I know this is a happy clapper thread but there are some strange opinions on here. Think lockdown has got to some people.

No pre season, injuries, playing twice a week, blah blah blah.

Let's be honest, we're a one dimensional team who aren't doing the one thing we do well, very well. This place will be in meltdown mid January when we are at least 12 points off the leaders and Pep is still picking at least two of Mendy, Gundog, Rhodri and Mahrez.

Right, off to try sticking my head in the sand to see if it makes things better!
It probably will..

Fair point. Humble apologies. My general point still stands, though. On our current form, we won't win the league. So far, we've dropped 12 points. In the centurions' season, we dropped 14 in the whole season. Was that a freakish season? Possibly. Maybe mid-high eighties might be enough this time around; compressed season, lots of muscle injuries, teams will drop more points. We just don't look capable of going on a, say, 10 game winning run to put pressure on Liverpool or Spurs. Hope I'm wrong, mind.
Hahahaha

We haven't won any "big" games for a while. We need to beat the rags and I think it will turn favourably for is. If we lose that game it doesn't bode well imo. Massive massive game, the biggest we've had since Vinnie's goal

I think we were 5th in the big6 mini-table last season. With possibly the worst away record of the lot.
