Happy Easter

What has the resurrection of Jesus Christ got to do with chocolate ?

Asking for a friend.
There are plenty of references to chocolate in the Bible, and particularly in the story of the crucifixion.

The hollow chocolate egg represents the empty tomb, after Jesus rose from the dead.

Cadburys Roses. When taken one at a time, the Cadburys Rose reminds us that Jesus rose on the third day. His followers all received a Boost when they heard this news.

We eat chocolate coins and Dime bars, and remember that Judas betrayed Jesus for a Bounty of 30 pieces of silver.

The Bible tells us Jesus was crucified at 9 in the morning, which is After Eight.

The Bible also says "At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon". We are reminded of this whenever we eat a Time Out.

For a direct mention of chocolate in the Bible we have Proverbs 25:16. "When you're given a box of candy, don't gulp it all down; eat too much chocolate and you'll make yourself sick." (The Message version).

Milky Way, Galaxy, Mars bars remind us that God created the heavens and the earth.

The triangular shaped Toblerone tells us that God is three in one - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Not forgetting in the Old Testament we have examples of the first ice cream sellers - Lyons of Judah, and Walls of Jericho.

And a finger of fudge is just enough to give the priest a treat.
