Harry Kane

I'm kind of wondering what some posters would have said about Lineker 25 years ago. 'does nothing, hangs around the six yard box...'. Well yes but...

A couple of years ago many said that Kane had just had a great season. He then did it again and again. What does he have to do to be considered special? Spurs aren't likely to win the CL. So does he have to leave and go to Real?

I agree with you.

Player like that will always struggle to convince me. Like other posters have stated he can shoot on sight accurately and with power. Needs to be more than that for me.

For me he is an effective player not a great player. There is a difference.
That's it. He's brilliantly efficient. Best in the league on that front easily. But I feel deep down people are willing him to be better than he is because otherwise England are truly boned at the World cup.

We stand a better chance with him instead of the fat balding drink driver.
Yes we do, I agree he's our best by a long way.

I'm concerned people think that I think he's bad (not you necessarily Machiavelli). He's not he's brilliant. I just don't rate him as world class that's all.

I couldn't give a rats arse about England, I haven't since euro 96, however that's like saying Paul Scholes was shit for the same reason, he never arrive late in the box for the 3 lions.. I mean come on ffs.... England are gash, So were Romania when Haji was a magician, or Stoichkov for Bulgaria. A player isn't measured on the international stage otherwise Messi would be regarded as average, along with our very own Kun...

You've ignored his stats against the perceived 'big teams' as it meets your opinion, he's now delivering it on the European stage, so you're right, you do know fuck all on this score...

I don't care who the opposition is specifically. Big team or not. If people read my posts I refer to games where Tottenham struggle. Big teams actually often play a way that's too open and gives Kane a chance or two.

In 15/16, Kane scored a total of 0 goals in the few games Tottenham lost.

In 16/17, Kane scored one goal in two games that Tottenham lost. And one was a penalty.

ALSO England are nowhere near as gash as Bulgaria or Romania were back then. England have it in them to beat very good sides if set up right. And you're calling me on Kane but say Messi has looked average for Argentina?! Ok he hasn't done it in a final but he's put in some godly performances for them in all sorts of competitions.
