it can leave a nasty stain on both player and buying club. also the spurs chairman will be even more determine not to sell him. its going to be hard to get kane now and will be last min end of transfer deadline day if anything

if kane has got it in writing that a agreement was sorted last season that he can leave the next summer if spurs don't win anything then i can understand why.

but it sounds like a promise by words and a handshake and spurs chairman knew he had kane over a barrel
much like messi and his free to leave if he wants hahahahaha

And the reason the so-called gentleman’s agreement wasn’t written into the contract is because the contract would then have likely been less favourable to Kane in monetary terms. I still hope we get him, but I don’t like what he’s doing either. Why sign that long-term contract? He could have guessed Spurs would still be potless a couple of years into it.
