Harry Kane

What part of that is incorrect?

It's poor from City, they should have completed the Kane deal first, they have gone and bid 100m for a 3 bed terraced house and then tried to get a 4 bed semi detached on the same road for the same price. Its really bad negotiations and it will result in a much more expensive player or a shambles.
Grealish >>> Kane

If Kane and Levy agreed that he could leave this summer and they shook on it as far as I'm aware that could constitute a binding agreement and override a previous contract. Contracts don't necessarily have to be in writing.

Seems to me that Harry is calling levy's bluff. Levy has always struck me a chancer and a cowboy ever since he offered Everton a ridiculously small pittance for Phil Chuckle. Sacking Poch and then begging him to re-join just reinforced that position for me.

Doesn't matter how much Kane wants to come to us, contracts are worth more than gentleman's agreements. This is why contracts get signed, because gentleman's agreements are wishy washy and vulnerable to being reneged on. Levy's got the right to demand £150m for Kane and if we can't pay it, which we won't be able to unless we flog Bernardo, then Kane will be staying exactly where he's contracted to. As I said, if he wanted to leave Tottenham so badly then he shouldn't have signed a 6-year deal midway through his career. Nobody held a gun to his head and forced him to sign it. Kane's trying to force a way out of Spurs but will end up staying there, meanwhile Grealish is turning up and training for Villa and will still get the transfer he wants. That should tell you everything you need to know about how badly Kane has been advised here.

No disrespect, but I think Kane is able to make up his own mind, regardless of any advisors. You and I would be the same.

You are right. A Gentleman's word is worth nothing legally. But it is worth everything in principle.

Harry Kane probably signed that new 6 year contract on the back of negotiations and promises from Levy. Those promises haven't happened. In-fact, it's gone from bad to worse at Spurs under Levy.

And during that time Kane has given his all for Spurs and for Spurs fans. Kane has dragged Spurs to cup finals, into the CL, but ultimately fallen short every season due to poor managers, poor signings, and lack of investment in the team and squad, sacrificed for the sake of a brand new stadium that has brought nothing but debt to Spurs.

Kane has 5 years left as a top player. As of now he hasn't won a single trophy. This will be his last big move and pay day.(let's be honest about that)

When you have one final opportunity to play for Pep, play alongside KDB, Sterling, Mahrez, Foden, Gundo, Grealish(?), etc, and you have a chance of winning the PL title, the CL, domestic cups, you don't turn that final opportunity down. You do what ever you have to to make that opportunity happen.

From the Caf - someone who supports Ajax and the Rags by all accounts.

"If this is true, he should be stripped of his England captaincy.

He has been unsportmanlike on the pitch very frequent, this would just be continuing it off the pitch. He signed that contract himself. I wouldnt be surprised if the media doesn't give him any stick though."
Wow
What a complete woman!

The problem is City. Just pay the fucking money. Now.

Or he'll sign on the last day of window for pretty much what Levy wants now. Everyone will be pissed off. The relationship between Spurs and City will be broken. Kane will be unfit. And mentally shattered.

No one wins.

You've got a player that doesn't want to play for you and won't even train. You no longer get to make demands.

No. We'll pay what we think he's worth and no more. The rest is just emotional bollocks.

How do you feel about van Dijkhead going on strike to force through a move to Littlewoods?
Van Dijk wasn't halfway through a 6-year contract when he tried to force a move to Liverpool, and neither was Sterling when he tried to force a move to us. It's not the forcing a move that's the issue for Kane, it's trying to force a move when he's the most valuable striker in English football and only halfway through a massive contract. If he thinks a move's going to happen because of this then he's greatly misinformed and being badly advised. We all know City can't afford Kane and Grealish unless we offload Bernardo Silva for £60m. Who's got £60m lying around for Bernardo Silva? Anybody? Until we get rid, we can't bring Kane in. Danny Ings maybe, but not Kane.
