Harry Kane

I think there's pretty much no way on earth that Kane is coming to City, if only based on the fact that he just plain didn't turn up to training (which, of course, had to be public), thereby forcing Levy to show a public stance of 'no way you're f*cking moving' or to risk losing his reputation as the Mekon of football transfer negotiating.

The only conceivable way out would be to include a player as well as £100m, but - realistically - who (that we don't need) from our squad is likely to want to move to Spurs ?

Mendy (perhaps the reason the Grimaldo reasons have surfaced) ? That's really about it.

As I say, pretty much no way this is getting done (which is a shame, as I really think Kane would be a huge addition).

I hope so mate. I really want to sign HK as I think he would be an excellent signing but not at any price, £100m to £120m seems sensible, £160m seems mad, I hope Levy gets what he deserves, a pissed off captain and drowns in his own self satisfied spit dribbling
I think there is a bit of theatre going on at present. Kanes saintly image needs denting so it becomes acceptable to the fans for Levy to sell him. The 160m will be painted as a great bit of business and a victory for Levy, but I expect the true figure will be 100-120m with the rest being add-ons related to performance / resale.

Absolutely, if we get nowhere with this deal it's to be hoped it's sooner rather than later. Then surely City have a back up plan don't we.....
if city have said to Kane- look the only way we can do this now is if you simply go AWOL and put pressure on Levy,,its not going to look good for us if we back out, we will get destroyed by the media if its that way, so i think we have to stand 100% behind him and if it means we miss out on other targets then im afraid we miss out

There's no way on earth that City told Harry Kane to go on strike or even put the idea in his head. If we can't get a sensible conversation out of Levy then we will walk away and leave him to sort the mess out.
