Harry Kane

We could replace the one out of these four who has a bad season.

I don't understand why it is so fantastical. We have done it on several occasions recently. After all we agreed that we'll have a £160m striker that you cant afford leading our line...
Leicester say Hi!

Actually they say 'Get to fuck!' as it's them that will be replacing any of those 4 who have a bad season.

And Romero is a CB not a striker and is not worth £160million, can't understand how you got that so wrong...

I don't understand why it is so fantastical.

Because your team right now features Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Giovani Lo Celso and Steve Aurier among others. Levy has let the state of the squad deteriorate to the point that Kane, Son (extremely patchy) and Lloris are the only key players remaining from the great squad you had back in 15-18. You're barely recognisable nowadays and have just hired a man who was sacked by Wolves for being too negative, for all intents and purposes.

With the Kane money you could get a decent striker AND some improvements across the pitch.

To be fair, it was done 2-5 years before Kun left, and the result is Gabby Jesus. The reality is that 99% of any youngsters you bring in are not going to become world class. They might become good squad players, but replacing Aguero requires the best in the world.
Going with the 'two world class players for each position' aspiration I'm assuming one striker of which Jesus is indeed one, but there should be another. Personally I think to challenge consistently in every comp we probably need three for the one place.

Leicester could be three points clear at Christmas and I'd still back them to finish outside the top 4. They're no threat to the Champions League places as long as Rogers is around, unless Iheanacho can somehow blackmail him into giving him minutes.

You had him leading your line last season, and he probably had his best season ever. Where did you finish?

It's actually a misconception that Pep wants two world class players for each position. One of the books on him (think Pep Confidential) goes into it. He wants around half the squad to be able to play two or more positions, which is why I'm currently operating on the theory that we won't get Kane and will use Torres instead.

Nacho got plenty of minutes in the latter half of the season due to injuries to others, he repaid him with goals so they are a threat if teams above have a bad patch. They've got a better chance than Spurs for sure who'll be happy to finish above Arsenal again.

Why would he be burning bridges at spurs, if we hadn't said we wanted him?.Might not get him, but we want him. Because at the minute we have nobody in that position.

Investment in Harry Kane is an investment in the team, so even if we have to pay over the top say £150M, then dont just look at the player look at it over the team/squad, yes the price is high but try to look at the overall picture, we need a goal scorer, Harry wants to come the England captain and Spurs best player, we will have to pay the price, but consider the cost as a team/squad investment not just a one player investment, get him signed.

Exactly, and now these others are no longer injured it'll be back to the bench for Kelechi, especially now they've signed Daka. Rogers hates the poor guy with a passion.

Case in point: for one of their biggest games of the season, the penultimate match against top 4 rivals Chelsea, Rogers benched Kelechi for Ayoze bloody Perez. Iheanacho scored to make it 2-1 shortly after coming off the bench, but it was too late to save the result and led to them missing out on top 4.

Leicester are no threat to the top 4 as long as Rogers continues to be so blinded by his own personal biases.
