Harry Kane

Surely it does not matter what City or Pep or you or Charlie Kane think Kane is worth. What matters is what Levy thinks he is worth.

And it is not clear that, despite what you lot say, that Levy is a willing seller. In the press he clearly says he is not.

I have doubts that this deal can go through. The differences seem massive.
True. We cannot force Levy too sell. neither can Kane. But it's clearly in Spurs best interests to replace Kane because I can't see things going back to where they were.

What problem? At the end of August, we have a striker worth something between £160m and 60m (depending on who you believe on here).

He'll have to make his peace and get on with it. And as some say on here, it is now or never. You will move on to the next shiny thing. And he may never get the big move he wants.
Both of them are ridiculous figures. We won't get him for 60m, not a cat in hell's. But, you're not going to get 160m for him either.

Technically you'll have the same player but mentally he'll be raging, and who could blame him. Levy must know that too so I think he's bluffing. But I have my doubts. He could well remain at Spurs simply because Levy might think the robot Kane will come round.

If I was a Spurs fan, I'd want this settled. Last thing you want is for this to drag on through the season

At this stage I would rather a suitable deal could be worked out.

So did the cute little Villa fans who seem to have vanished into thin air.

Good to see all you Spurs fans live up to the stereotypes that follow you around.

You have a striker but one who is only worth £160m in the eyes of Levy and deluded Spurs fans. The player is only worth what someone is prepared to pay not what Sir Daniel says he's worth. And once this window goes he will be worth considerably less.
And Spurs will still be making up the numbers in the top ten. With a whopping big debt.

The great thing is, with Grealish now being signed up we have such a plethora of talent in midfield who can score goals and win us games.

I would absolutely love Kane but I genuinely believe with the talent we have in midfield to create goal scoring opportunities we have the luxury of succeeding without even necessarily having a world class striker leading the line.

The PL is full of great strikers e.g Calvert Lewin, Bamford, Watkins. They're not what you'd call world class but they are premier league proven and I believe in our team and with the chances we'd create they'd score 25/30 goals easy.

What I'm saying is it might not be the end of the world if we don't sign Kane this summer and we end up with a slightly lesser alternative (no idea who but I assume we have a plan b) then consequently we bide our time for Haaland next year.

Koulibaly was our only option for a large part of last summer then last minute and THIRD choice may i add came Dias ( which didn't end too badly)

For me the biggest fear was Chelsea or United getting Kane - the fact he's staying at Spurs isnt really a bad thing as they're obviously no threat.

It's a nice position to be in

Up the blues!

So Kane agitates for a move, probably at our behest, Levy wants too much so we walk away?
I understand it but that's harsh on
Maybe not but his record is "patchy" if we're being generous.
You know what mate, I thought I’d post directly rather than speaking to @Ric as I have done but I’ll go back to lurking it’s not worth the headache! Ask Ric to validate the accuracy of the bits of info I get, especially recently and I’m sure he’ll back me up. But not everything comes off as I’m sure you’re aware but everything I've posted/spoke to Ric about was in good faith and not for attention! If I wanted that I’d of posted a lot more over the past couple of months including the Grealish deal!
