except £120m wouldn't get you Haaland. And wages. As I said previously, Haaland is asking for basically double the wage Kane is asking for.
Regardless of the transfer fee, Haaland and Kane are not comparable transfers.
Haaland, this summer next summer whenever, will be more expensive than Kane.
I hust don't see the need to exaggerate to a point it is not only unbelievable but just not true.
Kane won't be any cheaper, certainky not next year, perhaps ever so marginally this year, if all that holding off was worth it by the time he signs.
No way is Haaland getting or likely even asking twice the wages Kane is, that's just silly. Even if that made up report when we were briefly linked with him months ago that he is 'demanding 400k a week' were remotely true, it would mean kane is on 200k a week. Not a fucking chance. he will be 300k+. 120m isnt getting kane, by the time it is all done for kane, it will be more than the price of €150m Dortmund named for Haaland months ago.
The reason I respond this, is not because I want haaland and not kane, that ship has gone. It is because i feel arguing that is a disservice tonthe choice the club made to go for kane. Which to me has to be for footballing reasons, and is. The club are not shelling out 130m plus whatever addons, on a player just to save money on someone they would prefer, no way.

Chelsea, rags and the vermin all win, so we're already playing catch-up!
Things ain't looking promising if we can't land a forward before the window ends, as I said elsewhere it's going to be tough to predict top 4 between Chelsea, rags and the vermin. With either Kane or Ideally Haaland we are favourites as it stands now, could be one of four!
We need to put a final date on Kane, say Wednesday next week and if he ain't moving we then invest all our energy into getting Haaland even if that's at 150 to Dortmund and 40 to agent, just get it done and we'll be Premier league champions again!

As you say as real number 9.If City buy Kane whatever they pay will be considered good value by the club, that is Pep, Txiki and Khaldoon - not exactly the Holy Trinity but close. So don't expect too many congratulations for your prescience.
As for those still hoping for Haaland it is a case of selling spot to buy futures. We need a number 9 NOW and Haaland isn't going to be available for at least a year. That means many things but one is that KdB will be 31 by then. No-one is writing Kev off at that age though many seem prepared to write Kane off at that age, but we would have missed out on a year of the link up between KdB and Kane, which excites Kane and most of us. A real number 9 - and he is one of the best in the world - in our team next season is a truly mouth watering prospect and makes any delay unthinkable.
How will this change our lines of attack, how will defenses cope with a real aerial threat at corners or set pieces.
How will teams react to us actually scoring with more of our chances rather than relying on our abysmal historical tally.
Will Pep change his tactics or rely on better goal conversion rate.
Sorry, just dreaming. Fabulous, won PL last year and our owners spend so well to improve us.
