Harry Kane

In this market 160m is utter madness and I completely understand why the club are in for him, there seems little or no alternative players, but I am far from convinced.

And thats at Spurs, imagine what he'd get in a City Shirt and its not like he got all the Spurs Goals as Son has scored boatloads too

it's funny but

I reckon if we actually *did* play false 9 we'd look much better. but we aren't doing that! it requires the wingers to play a lot more narrow with wing backs providing the width, and that's hardly the way we play. Just because we put a midfielder/winger up top.. that's not false 9, that's just "midfielder playing as striker", which, well, looks how it looked yesterday.
Think that’s a tad harsh on Torres, who made numerous dangerous runs but didn’t get the ball. There was one ball played across the box towards Torres that would have given him a chance but Gundogan intercepted it and the chance went begging. We do need a top striker though, and I’d rather we spent £150m on Haaland

Let’s hope Spurs have done a better job on the two replacements than they did on Pau Torres and checked if the player actually wants to join. After all, you wouldn’t want them spunking the lot on average players. They haven’t done that before.
Paul Torres has clearly been told to sit tight by a bigger club, with rumours of Laporte leaving before the end of the window, could this be a major surprise deal?

Wait and see as if that fee is no paid then Kane will not be wearing a city shirt

TBH I couldn't give a sh*t if City paid that £160mill. You, Levy and Spurs will get a £160mill trophy and f*ck all else. Whilst City get 1 of the best strikers in the world, and probably more real trophies.

Liverpool have the net spend trophy.
United have the self-made money trophy.
Spurs will have the Harry Kane-£160mill trophy.

I have said numerous times, outstanding record and totally get the clubs attraction, but for me as a player he simply does not excite me, not a player I have ever enjoyed watching.

But if he comes in and continues with those figures, fantastic.

I can imagine that we are still way below their valuation. I think levy will be even more bullish now after beating us. He will definitely feel like he has the upper hand
Don't think the game result factors into it, Levy still needs money and we still need a striker. If Levy really wanted to make a statement he would've had Kane in the squad, played him last 10-15 at least while leading, and then had Harry send out some cryptic tweet congratulating his team on the win. Instead he was entirely left out, and I think we know why, his mind's still set on leaving, and we still want him. Dragging it out is common, I mean, now we know Grealish was done for months, but it took its sweet sweet time anyway.
