Harry Kane

Except Son signed a new contract a matter of weeks ago during the whole Kane transfer saga. I think you are hugely over exagerating the effect Spurs keeping Kane would have on other players or our reputation. Keeping a player to his contract when the buying club will not meet the selling clubs asking price has happened before, and will continue to happen again and again. It is nothing unusual or strange or rare. I think you'll find the footballing world totally understands Spurs stance of pay our asking price or there is no deal, and that includes players, just obviously not Kane.
What you don't know is the terms in Son's contract, he may well have a buy-out clause I know I would if I was signing a contract with the "hard negotiating" Levy The fact is Levy has form, a number of players have spoken about him reneging on a verbal agreement. Initially the Spurs PR machine was denying that such an agreement with Kane existence now is seems that one does exist but the terms of it seem to vary between the parties. Football is a small world players talk and agents will find out the truth Player A to player B what's that Levy like, is he honest and above board? No, make sure everything is in writing and to be honest if you have other offers then if I was you id take them IMHO Levy is damaging Spurs reputation no end, he's not to be trusted, look at the search for a manager ultimately the 5th choice accepted I wonder how much it cost to persuade NES
Players understanding the pay the asking price or not! Of course they will understand but whether they think its fair when a player has his last chance to move to a club that matches his ambitions I somewhat doubt it, especially when the Kane view of the facts of the verbal agreement will be know to all who care to ask
Go back to when Kane signed his contact. Spurs were doing quite well just failing at the final hurdle, so Kane during the contract chats with Levy is promised that the club will continue to back the manager with squad improvements, he''s told when the new stadium is opened it will generated revenue to do so, we have a great young manager in Poch the future is bright Harry. OK well if you fulfil your promises then fine but I if you don't then I want to be able to leave if a club comes in for me with an offer Don't worry my son we wont let you down
Well, since then two managers have been sacked, good players have left, not many bough,t a 5th choice manager appointed and the debt of the club matches the GNP of a small country plus Kane is 3 years older and is on his last chance, therfore the ace negotiator is looking a right twat to the football world Just my view :)

You can't use every player turning Spurs down as validation of your opinion on this. Pau Torres turned us down because his boyhood club is about to play CL football so he wants to stay. If we were in the CL too I could maybe see us attracting him but we aren't, so I understand. At the same time for every Torres, there is a Romero who also walked away from CL football and is a superior CB and he joined us because he believes in Paratici's project. There will always be top players who want to join Spurs, not the very best, we need CL football and deep pockets for those, but there will be good players.

There is also nothing unfair about our valuation. Kane is worth 150 million upwards, we are talking about a player who could finish as the highest PL scorer ever in his prime. He's proven at every level. Strikers like Vlahovic are being touted around for 90 million euros who have one single season of scoring goals in a top league. As I say there is nothing unfair about our valuation, that Kane thought we would let him go to another PL club for 100 odd million is laughable and shows how stupid/naive he is. Kane is easily worth 50 million more than Grealish, there is your reference point right there. Grealish won't win you many games on his own, Kane will. Personally I think it's mad you spent so much on Grealish when Kane should have been your priority, but thats just my opinion.
Believes in Paratici's project? He's only been there five minutes and Romero believes in his project? Don't talk crap. He came because Spurs offered him more money. At his age, if he's any good, he'll do the same as any other decent player at Spurs. Move to a bigger club in the future.
