I have given up following this thread for a week or so.
But cant believe the hold up might be that Kane is upset about a shirt number !

Surely a multi millionaire footballer wouldn't put a shirt number before his chance of joining a club with a chance of silverware.

If this story is true than he isnt my sort of City player. It cant be true can it ?

Wasn’t our first offer £75m and £25m add ons? From what I’ve seen levy looks like he has played an absolute blinder if he gets £150m for Kane in a post Covid world. Struggling to understand why his value would be much different to Lukaku’s.

Erm...right...heard a little bit of info. As always, the disclaimer: there's always a chance info could be wrong, but once again, I trust the person who told me as they work within the game, and they've told me loads before correctly.

They messaged me on Saturday morning saying that they've heard that City want Kane, yes, obviously, but key bit is not as much as Pep personally wants Kane and Pep is very much the driver behind the move. The catch is now apparently that the club would prefer a 'project' striker like Vlahovic.

That's all I've heard. I've don't know the reasoning, so all I can do is my guess - i'd say maybe it's the price? Kane at a reasonable price? Sure? At the numbers quoted? Nah, Vlahovic.

Sorry if that's just a repeat of what is already out in the world, or not - I hand on heart don't know as I'm 100% not really sure where we're up to with this Kane stuff as I've been away and intensely busy personally for the last few days! I was getting married when that message came through heh.

agreed if this is the case, move on, id even take a gamble on Vlahovic £50m down with £20m add ons, so many goals within our team from diferent positional players we will be fine with a slightly under par striker who has potential to blend in and become a world class player,resale value or a player for life at the club if it works for him

All we’ve heard for a month is it’ll cost £150m for Kane, he said at the beginning he wasn’t for sale, but since the £100m offer it’s been £150m.

So he went from "not selling him, but £160M would get me to the table"
to "£150M"

He wants this to drag on to deadline day so he doesn't have to spend the money. I think the club would be wise in that scenario to get Pep signed to a contract that is more aligned to Kanes rather than 2 years, in which case it’s a double victory.
