So far there is no news yet about Spurs rejecting or accepting our final offer. I choose to interpret that as good news since they have not immediately rejected it, which should mean they are thinking about accepting it.

You can see them doing exactly that - sitting on it until the final day of the transfer window then rejecting. Leaving us with no other option at such a late stage.

it's all subjective at this point and pure speculation but I honestly doubt they would allow this to happen. for me, either this is a done deal and we are waiting to announce until spurs have done their business, or, this is still in the air but there is a set deadline in place to allow us to make the most of the final days of the window if this doesn't get accepted.

I trust Tolmie and his info. If he says we send a final offer to spurs then I believe what he's being told.

And I wouldn't want spurs sitting on this for a few days when the transfer window closes in 7 days, we kind of need an answer straight away so we can decide what we're going to do. We have a title to defend and I couldn't give a flying fuck if spurs want to get deals done first, we are our priority and they've had enough time
