Harry Kane

You want to control your destiny as a player, then you have advisers that ensure you have a buy-out clause in a 6-year contract. I heard he's advised by his brother; I wouldn't rely on my brother to negotiate his way out of a paper bag!

Onwards and upwards.

A few PL players have brothers and other family members acting as agents.

It is an absolutely ruthless industry and I can’t understand why anyone would go into it represented by their brother. There’s a reason the ‘super agents’ earn a fucking fortune, because they generally do a good job for their clients.

A six year contract with no release clause is absolute madness. Mental stuff.

I’m kind of glad though. Kane will have to live with this forever, his value will wane each year, and Levy will (I assume) have a pissed off player on his hands. Spurs will be fun to watch over the next year or two I reckon.

Should serve as a warning to other pros thinking they can do family members a solid by appointing them as agents when they have zero knowledge or experience of acting as such. Absolutely balmy but there we are.

Not Kane’s fault - he wanted to join but we wouldn’t pay the asking price. Maybe he didn’t put a transfer request in?

Not Levy’s fault - he’s got every right to demand a high price.

City’s fault? I’d say so. We must have known the price would be extortionate yet still carried on with it all right until the final week of the window. Naive is the word for it.
It’s not City’s fault. We offered £100m, it was a no, we offered £150m, it was a no and now Levy wants 200m and we’ve fooked it off.

quite rightly.

We’ll be sound.

I was in the no camp on kane , hope with the options we have we can cope

Cue abuse but we let sergio go too soon ,if he is swapped for ronaldo i will cry

Thank goodness for that (if true).

I like Kane but he's Spurs through and through. As Tottenham as Martin Chivers and Alan Gilzean. Kane seems a decent bloke and a good pro so I'd expect him to be fully committed to the Spurs cause. And only Kane and Levy know if there was any breach of trust between them but, on face value, Levy didn't want to sell and hasn't so no gripe there either

Hopefully, we have a plan B. If not, there will be a good reason why not.

Will I no longer get abused for saying Kane's a goal scoring Rodri with paper mache ankle who's never delivered when it matters?

Phew, at least we're all on the same page now.

We had a price, we have stuck to it.
The other club didn't want to sell.

I've no issues with the club trying to sign a top player, I've also got no issues with they club having a financial plan and sticking to it.

Do I think we need a 9, yes absolutely.
Do I think there is one out there for us at the moment? No, can't see many options hence we might not sign one, means the money stays available in case a suitable player comes available
