Harry Kane

According to Simon Jordan the whole blame lies at Citys door.
So he agrees with plenty of you on here.
Personally I think he is a sheet

Last week he was cxaalling City for Spending now he is calling us for not spending. He hates City for sure.

I'll probably get a bit of stick for this but I think everybody involved could have done a bit better.

I don't think City helped themselves with the apparent low ball opening bids.
I don't think Kane's actions helped.
And there's a whole list of stuff Levy could have done differently, although he got his big PR win so I'd wager he's happy with how things transpired.
Low ball opening bid? We (presumably) offered what we thought was a fair price (£75+£25mill add-ons), Spurs must have replied to that so we went back with £100+?mill add-ons if reports are true.

What is obvious is that Spurs were willing to sell but only at what they considered a fair price to them. As it happened, never the twain will meet.

Kane's actions may or may not have helped, hence why City told him to rein it in and let the professionals talk.

Despite what the media (and muppets on Twitter) believe, we still have to balance the books, exactly the same as everybody else.

If I ever found out me and Simon Jordan had the same line of thinking, I'd seriously question my thought process and reasoning, then blast my fuckin swede off with a shotgun.

I don't believe this at all. No buying club paying £100m+ for a player does everything on the selling clubs terms. Its fanciful at best to suggest we were trying to a deal of this magnitude, with the attitude that we would hang fire for weeks on end while Spurs tried to find a replacement. We might have done something like this with Villa for Grealish but did so knowing that with the buyout clause, Villa couldn't turn round and kibosh the deal.

We have walked away because we are not willing to meet the asking price, an asking price that by all accounts hasn't changed for weeks. We thought Spurs would lower their demands. Spurs thought we would increase our offer. Both wrong.
Spurs are now left with a player who has let everyone know that he doesnt want to be there and must surely feel so deflated and pissed off that it could affect his performance. Kane will be worth half of what Spurs believe to be his worth in this transfer window, after this season he will be 29 . This isn’t the win for Daniel Levy that is being portrayed in the media.

If it is true that Levy didn't even respond to our bids then that is not negotiation. That is sticking your fingers in your ears shouting la la la. Even if the bid is not acceptable and Kane isn't for sale then you fire off an email saying so. These are your peers and colleagues your messing about so show some professionalism.

I think this may be a situation where our bad press is screwing City. Particularly if it is true that Villa didn't want to sell to us. Either clubs genuinely believe we can spend unlimited amounts or we are some cheats that need to be stopped for the sake of football. Although that's a weird stance when someone is waving £100m in your face

I'm not sure if he does or doesn't hate City, but the only reason he comes out with this tripe is for clicks and to be 'controversial' so Talksport will continue to employ him.
