Harry Kane

I feel nothing will happen for a week or two! All player who have been in this tournament should have at least a month away from football!

Pretty much. I hope that this accelerates this week. He'll be hurting after last night and he should be taking that out on Levy this morning by demanding he keep his promise from last summer and sell him.

Plus it'd just be nice to get the 9 position sorted sooner rather than later!
Last night was just conformation that if he doesn't move, then he's not winning a trophy. He was desperate for that move before the Euros and I hope now that desperation has been amplified.

Having a player of his caliber desperate to join our club makes me very excited.

Whilst I agree with you, I can't help feeling that, whilst I was lying on a beach, I'd be prepared to accept a couple of phone calls from my agent to agree a £250k a week, 5 year contract. I might even consider logging on at the local internet cafe to sign my contract.

He should be hurting. He was pretty ineffective last night. Gave the ball away too often and threw himself to the ground on numerous occasions trying to win a cheap foul. Guilty of not playing to the whistle more than once which put us under pressure.

Internet cafe? Might be showing your age there - I think most holiday resorts frequented by footballers have decent wifi these days

Think they will but theres's nothing to stop agents working and players popping in for a medical and to sign. Think we've done medicals in America and Barcelona before from memory.

As I have said before I think Kane is a great striker, one of the best in the World and would no doubt score a load of goals for us. But, and its a big but, the media is saying Spurs are sticking out for £150m. IMO, there is no way we (or any other Club) will pay that kind of money for a 28 year old.

We have other options, including not buying a new striker at all and giving some of the young talent already at the Club, like Torres, Delap and Palmer more game time.

Left back and DM have to be our priorities. Fernandinho can’t go on forever and Rodri can’t play every game.

I wish I could get that bothered about his performances in an England shirt, but I just can't. I think he'll be a revelation for City, that's the important thing.

surely the guys might want their futures sorted before their holibobs? Talks between clubs, agents etc would have been ongoing through the euros?

Only way it be sorted before his hols is if the deal has been done we get Kane in the London’s Man City studio do the video the reveal then he goes on his hols! Be more like it be dragged out for the next 2/3 weeks in the way we do business and levy

Anything over £75m will be too much. Look at my previous posts, even before the tournament this isn't a snap judgement based on recent games. He can't keep pace with fast transitioning team. Not only physically but mentally as well.

Yes Southgate didn't showcase his strengths but he really showed his weakness. When we play stubborn teams he will do well for us. Sat up top waiting for his moment to spring to life in and around the box. He'd be great in those circumstances, he has enough energy and pace to fulfill this role.

In big games, the ones we struggle in we need a more energetic, intelligent player. He couldn't keep up with our press, he couldn't rotate positions fluidly, he'd literally hang around 20 yards away from where we'd need him.

Look he's a great player, but we need specific type of players. We can't buy a great player and try shoe horn him in to a system coz it will break the system. I might be wrong, I'm not a manager, yet Pep didn't fancy kun and he has more pace and energy than kane and he's got 4/5 years on him.

If we can't get haaland I'd like us to go with Jesus and buy isak with torres getting chances upfront. Not ideal I know but after haaland there is a huge drop in talent. Also would be intrigued what Pep could do Marcus thuram.

I would love to know any star striker that would improve our squad, that we could buy for less than 75 mill, including City tax.

Stopped reading after your utterly ludicrous first sentence.

Surprised you have this opinion by the way. Kane literally spent 120 minutes playing from midfield. He definitely wasnt a striker today. He was a midfielder playing balls into either the wingbacks, Sterling or mount. Englands biggest weakness is their clear lack of creative midfielder. Lot of attacking talent but nothing to deliver the attacking talent any balls.
England's biggest weakness is the manager.

In our history we have signed alot of strikers who have not performed either through injury or form. Whether we were in Division 1 or 2 or 3. Just because Kane scores at Spurs does not mean even with our procession football mean he will do it here. He wont start every game as well so will he spit his dummy out. Fuck spurs dont give them a penny.
