Harry Kane

This. Lukaku is great if you're very direct, but in a build up where players move around all sorts of areas on pitch Kane is lot more established, better touch, better eye for a pass. Lukaku is good at crossing too but the spaces in Prem are just extra tight.

I've said all along that for me, whether we get Haaland, Kane, or Lukaku, we're absolutely laughing. Appreciate that people have preferences but in terms of what they'd all bring to the team, they'd all bring things we lack.

Lukaku is unbelievable but a bit like Haaland he isn’t as good on the ball as Kane is. Especially in midfield areas where Kane becomes a world class playmaker.

I quite like the Belgian Bulldozer and Haaland would be my first choice because he isn't a typical Pep player and brings pace and power etc but Kane is just such a Pep player in my mind. I reckon if Pep sat down to design a centre forward for his English club side, something very like Kane would appear on the drawing board.

Told everyone weeks ago all you have to do is take off your Erling Haaland sunglasses off and look what’s unfolding right in front of your very eyes. Kane never said he wants to be announced at his new club before the euros he said he wanted his future sorted before then. And it clearly is all sorted.

Don’t mean to be rude but only a fool couldn’t tell that this was going to happen weeks ago.

cant wait to watch the best striker in world football play in this already top class team in his prime years.

Kane is as good as Lewandowski for me, which makes him the proto-9 for Pep as you say. What will be interesting will be how the system/team changes once Kane (or A N Other 9) is in it. Suspect we'll see better productivity from the wide forwards and also a more balanced defensive system as the 8's won't be under quite as much pressure to get in behind the false 9.

Looks to me like the agreement to sell may have happened already, perhaps even the fee. I suspect that Kane's contract is already agreed. Just waiting to make sure that a season (or career) ending injury doesn't happen at the Euros.

It would probably not be good PR on a club video but I didn't hear Levy mention the loss of CL revenue next year as a further huge financial pressure but it will have been hugely helpful in strengthening City's negotiating position.

Also interested that they showed a lingering shot on one Spurs player scoring a goal and that was Son.

not sure Ake will be in any swaps...

Not entirely sure why people keep try to shove Ake out already. OK I know enough about other people to know but we need for top CBs and Ake offers flexibility too. Plus I think if he stays fit and gets more game time he will be an asset. Also, unfortunately, if any CB leaves it will be Laporte.

Yeah, it will be fascinating because Pep will adapt the system again. Although I expect a variation on last season's theme.

I do think Kane would create more space for our wide players, in addition to giving them a better target. I"m sure Pep will have him drop a do the false nine bit but he is more likely to entice centre backs forward and he will be bale to play balls into gaps that our wide guys can move into.

I just think we'll be a much better and more rounded team with a proper 9 like Kane in it but yes you're absolutely right, he'll make space for the runners, and he'll also be able to deliver killer balls into the gaps that open up. Will also mean less pressure on KDB to always be the guy to unlock the defence.
