Harry Kane

I definitely don’t think that City are desperate. You will win trophies with or without Kane.

It’s every bit as much the case, I think, that City fans think that Spurs are desperate to sell. And that isn’t true either.

Yeah with fans back tv money sponsor money spurs can tick over fine think it’s buying players that will be the problem if they don’t sell..

How long will spurs fans keep going, with no signings, the cost of tickets and a new manager they don't like.
Will the nfl franchise take off?
Could covid force stadium to close again.
Too many variables could affect spurs financially

Definitely not. He wants to win things. He stands a far, far better chance of doing that - and doing it regularly - at City.

No question, he wants to leave Spurs.

I have to say I agree, just crossed my mind reading all the BS between Varane and United. Let's just hope we get the deal done and dusted this week as opposed to pushing it right to the last minute.

Covid will most certainly keep striking unfortunately over the next few years even with double vaccinations etc.

Kane will get his move IMO. I suspect what's happened is that Levy doesn't want Kane going on strike and doesn't want a public shit fight with him, and therefore there's been some kind of private agreement that there's a financial tipping point at which the deal gets done. I don't think it's going to look good for ENIC if Kane goes fully public with a transfer request and an interview about broken promises.

The valuation is sort of moot for me because City want him and he wants City. Whether it's 120, 130, or 150 I don't really care. Landing the player is the important thing.
Feels to me it’s all about making it look like they are giving city a tough time with this deal
Also to cause maximum damage to our start of season
they don’t want us buying Kane then leathering them in first game (with or without him)
It’s just going to drag on and on

my worry here is that we're underestimating how naive kane is. That he fully believes levy when he says "oh don't worry, we have a gentlemen agreement", but eventually levy will (obviously) stab him in the back, and that he's being way too passive right now about it and leaving himself with no time.

From a purely financial perspective, I disagree that he is worth more to spurs than City.
For City, he could be the difference between winning the champions league or not. That would bring in lots of extra sponsors and additional prize money, which for the champions league is a large sum.
For spurs, next season kane staying or going won't make too much difference. Realistically you aren't going to be challenging for the title and or even getting top 4 so kane staying might make the difference between getting in the europa league or the europa conference league if you have a decent season or the europa conference league and nothing if nuno gets off to a slower start. Either way, financially there wouldn't be a great deal of difference.
if city would of won the final last year we would of gained an extra 4.8m euros, not a lot of difference between winning the cup and losing the final money wise.

City are sharp operators and I am sure there are discussions in the background where City are providing guidance/direction.

It’s far harder to judge the consequential income from a win. The extra fans we would get, who are out buying city duvets, lampshades or soiled jackets off someone on here. That makes our name more valuable to sponsors so that revenue goes up next time around. And so on, the butterfly effect of you like.

like we did with dani alves/jorginho/alexis? sometimes city tend to leave their targets, especially those in vacation, to their own devices.

They've hopefully learnt from those errors. If we're to believe the rumours we're just waiting for Grealish to get off holiday and make his way up the M6. As for Kane, just have to find the fee. Both agents know the interest is there and don't necessarily need the player round the negotiating table. Only table they'll be at is one with Txiki in front of a camera in the coming days and weeks ;-)

Transfers fall through all the time and there are no guarantees. If Kane is determined to join City then City will know how this will play out. Similar to what Bayern did to us with Sane.

You don't know anything about him, so calling him naive is bonkers.

right lets talk about what really is on the table with kane

1st spurs ? what can they offer him as a club going forward. the manager is untested at the the level kane wants
can spurs win a trophy and can spurs make champions league football with city united liverpool chelsea above them

2nd city ? there is no guarantee of silverware but will be in the mix for everything. a manager in pep with a track record 2nd to none and champions league football

forget the money spurs can give him that its all about wanting to win silverware and testing yourself in the big games
also the kane family have a big say on this they are settled in london kids wife all on a routine and lets talk covid-19 as well

now kane
would he offer spurs a better chance of spurs fighting the big boys. he is there leader and got a big chuck of power
but carries spurs on his own shoulders. for me kane got a window of about 3 seasons to be top dog at a big club and win silverware so time is NOW or does he just go back into the easy life at spurs

Yeah that's not much but I'm sure we would then be able to get increased sponsorships for winning it from sheikh mansour, I mean etihad.

I'm sure our guys know the timeframes they are comfortable with, and are in touch with both Kane and Spurs. I doubt are relying on Kane to get himself out of the contract, that'll be something they are discussing with Levy at a pace they can be happy with.

Based on previous business, at least.
