Not sure where you stand with Kane.
In the past I thought you wanted him And would pay the price, have you changed your mind?
Personally would never be breaking transfer records for a 28 yr old.

I've always preferred Haaland because of his age and he's a City fan and I think players who score a goal a game in Germany and the CL come around every 20 years.

Then when the Kane links seemed like he was going to be the one I was OK with it because he is has been so good over the last few years.

Now I'm looking at him and he looks haggard, like he's scraping the barrel just to do the bare minimum. He suddenly looks like he's hit a wall without any explanation. He's not playing with an injury according to him and the FA, he shouldn't be tired after a month off.

So I'm in favour of Haaland and I've gone from still being happy if we got kane to being concerned about it.

Fair enough. Good analysis.
But I am glad you are beginning to have doubts about Kane.
My doubts started last season when the pundits were giving him praise for dropping deep.
My opinion is he is starting to have body issues, and they will get worse.

His performance in the Euros - might, generously be described as "workman" - I'd describe his performance as "pedestrian" - and I wouldn't argue much against "underwhelming."

And for me - that's what Kane is likely to be - underwhelming.

If we cannot sign Haaland - I hope very much that we don't end up signing Kane.

This really does feel like a make of break transfer for City.

Everything logically points to getting Haaland, but apparently Kane is the guy Pep has personally demanded.

I guess every transfer has its pitfalls. The reason everyone including me want Haaland is the age and health difference it can bring. But Haaland can fail too.
Kane in all seriousness in the second best option.

I have seen us play for almost 18 months without a proper clinical striker and we waste countless chances.
Kane game has something that prime Aguero had. A knack of finding the right spot with accuracy and power. Our false 9 takes those extra 2 seconds to decide the right shot ( An extra pass or a step on) and fail those chances.

With our chance creation a well rested Kane can easily find 30 goals.

If Haaland or Messi come to England this summer or next and City is not the place, then I would be seriously disappointed and will see it as a wasted opportunity. Else I am okay with Kane with Haaland going elsewhere.

Kane wants us because he has no more choices. Haaland wanting us despite plethora of options for him is a tough ask esp for a 20 year old young boy. I just wouldn't want Haaland at Chelsea.
