I read that statement as a stand off with spurs to be honest.
I think spurs staying silent on this issue is embarrassing to be honest and they should have said something, anything by now.

Well, I don’t know. It is the club that went and spent 100m on grealish for reasons unknown. I was just telling you the options we have available and I am okay going into the season with those options

If anything it sounds like an appeal for understanding.
More interesting is to consider what it doesn’t say.
He certainly doesn’t say, for example, that he is staying at Spurs and looking forward to the new season. And that would have been quite easy if that was his intention
 
Very different from all the noises from media leaks saying he's not coming back to training previously
 
Kane’s statement could be down to price.
He clearly believes there’s a gentleman’s agreement (more fool him), but maybe Levy is sticking to £150m and we’re not prepared to pay it.

That’s not how Spurs work. The Kane money will be wasted on signing shite or it will go straight into the bank to pay back all those wonderful financial decisions don levy made.

This statement is weird, because unlike most on here, it doesn't fully read to me like he is leaving.

More like he thinks he has been professional in his business, and if the City transfer happens, he'll have been professional in the whole process.

But if it does mean he's leaving then I HAVE to assume City are aiming for Messi, and perhaps think PSG cannot afford him with Mbappe and Neymar on their books.
