By all accounts Levy has already demonstrated he's more arsed about Spurs than Kane. As long as Levy has a contract with Kane's signature on it, gentlemen's agreements, or what's morally right or wrong don't matter.Imagine you’re Harry Kane, you’ve offered great service to your club, you have an agreement with the chairman that you can leave if a certain price is offered, and you know that price is going to be offered by a club that almost guarantees winning things, and gives you the opportunity to play for the best manager in the game and alongside some of the best footballers in the world. So you allow yourself to get mentally prepared for an exciting new phase in your career, only to be stitched up by an absolute **** of a boss who reneges on the verbal agreement and costs you your dream move. You looking forward to the new season? You feeling motivated to win things for Spurs? You proud to captain the side and happy that you’re at a club that treats it’s players well? I think not. We’ll be fine, we won’t abandon him, but at some stage we’ll have to move on to other targets. Be great if we could sign Kane, but losing out on him isn’t a disaster for us. Doubt Kane will be overly amused though.
Seems a very sensible solutionThink if we go £120m + £30m achievable addons then that suits all parties and PR concerns for both sides?
maybe we should put a clause and charge them if he fails to scoreHe is trying it on expecting us to pay every time he scores , never heard of that one before
nor me.Can’t believe the mods haven’t banned you yet.
And the cash would elevate them back into CL contention? They had that last season and finished below West Ham and got in the European Conference, so I think the cash would be worth far more….
What’s City’s reaction to this?
That stance has changed in the last 48 hours.
Spurs will accept a reduced base figure but the add-ons are very achievable.
Would take it closer to what they want, but if we win the Champs League, we would be happy to pay it, anyhow.
They also want a scoring bonus.

Yep I think everyone would be happy with that imo :)Think if we go £120m + £30m achievable addons then that suits all parties and PR concerns for both sides?
Nah you're a good poster Bill, match day thread when team is announced wouldn't be the same without you :-)nor me.
A scoring bonus ? Cheeky fucker , tell me we will say no to that
I concede they’re not the Club of recent times, but they still have enormous pulling power. Realistically, Real Madrid could next summer get Haaland and Mbappe for a combined £75m, that’s a frightening thought.I wrote the same thing yesterday. Real Madrid 2021 is not Real Madrid of Ronaldo Bale and Benzema who won 4 CL in 5 years. Real can not win the Champions League with their current squad, the Spanish league is no longer as prestigious and strong as it was with Ronaldo and Messi. Real have huge debt so I don't see more WC players join, Zidane is not there. Why would he prefer to play there rather than in City?
Piece of advice, fella. If the thought of another team signing a player is 'bone-chilling', I'd reevalute my life.Uh-huh.
Anyway, they are. Chelsea are a top-class team with a top-class defence and a top-class manager. They're literally the Champions of Europe. The only glaring hole they have right now is Werner not being a clinical striker - adding Lukaku is a fantastic move for them that could catch the gap to us up if we don't make a similar one. But don't worry about that, we've got a meme format that no-one outside of football forums has used in seven years. You could always do the Scarface cocaine one next? Maybe crack out that crying-baby one from Facebook, that's a good-un.
I like your positivity. Top stuff.£10m if we win the quadruple
£12.5m if we win the Quadruple undefeated
My point exactly. We as City fans need to look at it from Spur's point of view, not merely our own. It comes as no surprise Levy couldn't give a shit about how this affects us & Kane.Well they will win nothing without the goals from Kane, if he stays they will win nothing with the goals from Kane, hard dissision.
because that isn't what it is
It will be something like: 25 PL goals in one season = £1M payment. If he scores 22 no add-on is paid.
He is talking the piss with that oneWe are more than willing to accept realistic add-ons, should it keep the upfront cost down.
