There's an awful lot of very extreme and very weird anti Kane sentiments in this thread which have to my mind very little to do with football. I've seen loads of tenuous and half hearted arguments about injuries and the like, but ultimately Kane is one of the top 5 number 9's in the world. He will be a fucking revelation under Pep.
The rest just feels like a popularity contest to me and he obviously isn't winning one of those whilst Haaland is knocking around.
Kane's not my first choice but we need a top striker and if he is the only viable one that we can get, City should do the deal ay whatever price they see fit.
Kane would fit our team very nicely.

No what I’m saying is you never know what’s round the corner, so nobody can speculate any player will give us any amount of good years, and who mentioned athletes ?Are you saying that athletes are one injury from never being the same player???

Yeah exactly. I'd love Haaland at City. But Kane is more ready now to slot into the system and just take this team to another level.

Bargain, no. Good business, well the future will decide that if the transfer happens. If we go on to win the title for the next few years then it'll undoubtedly be good business. If he breaks his leg in pre season and has to retire it'll be bad business.

Welcome back. I speak for myself, but it is entirely football related and nothing to do with popularity. I don't 'hate him' or find him annoying or anythin like so. I just don't think of him as a player tonbreaknthe bank for or an appropriate long term Aguero replacement.
With 49% on here against his coming here, I think it is a bit of a generalization to assume most of those dont rate him just on popularity.

That is literally what I'm talking about. Who said City want a 'long term' Aguero replacement? City want an Aguero replacement for sure. How do you define long term? Leroy Sane type of player who comes in and then wants to leave a few years later?
Sorry mate, but you've just reinforced the point I was making in the post. Your reasons for not wanting Kane are weak IMO. The money isn't yours and longevity can never be guaranteed because football changes fast. Kane is beyond proven in this league and absolutely nothing can change that fact. The rest is a popularity contest.

It’s better business than paying less money for a player who might not turn out anywhere near as good. As has been said, Kane is one of the best goal scorers in world football. We’ve also also wasted millions on players who aren’t good enough over the years. Kane is good enough.
