Harry Kane

With Pep maybe just having 2 years left with us and then us having to bed in no doubt a top but new manager the club may feel that it's now or never for the CL in the next 3 or 4 seasons and that could be a reason to as a one-off throw out our normal transfer policy and take a punt on a big priced older player.
2 years & another 2 years on top if he builds anew team, if he 8s hungry & winning he wont go anywhere I said 10 years & then Spain or even England job

He is 27 years old, nearly 28. And the whole injury narrative is a myth. Look at the amount of games he has played consistently each season. I’d argue the biggest issue is that Tottenham probably have rushed him back. I’m not bothered what City pay, that’s up to Txiki but I think you are in cuckoo land if you think we are getting one of the best number 9s in world for £80m and add ins. Guess all we can do is wait and see.

the add-ons can work out to £40 million over a period of time making the final price £120million

Dortmund refused 80m for sancho last summer. Some reported as far as 85m with addons. But that was as high as it got. His 'value' wasnt 120m, that was his asking price, and when utd refused to get close to it (I doubt Dortmund would have refused close to 100) they held onto him.

They will sell him this year for circa 75m, depending on reports (fucking 72.9m being the lowest, 79m being the highest ive seen).

Dortmund got their deal. They got less than they asked for ast year, but hardly any less than they would have got if they accepted an offer they didnt rate. And for as little as say 5m, as an average, Dortmund got a player if his quality for a year helping them win a cup and secure CL. They lost out on nothing at all, and showed they can be resolute.

dortmund was asking over £100 million knowing city had a sell on fee. i think its between 15%/25%
so if they are selling for £73 million they could only pocket around £55million

its funny how they caved in went united wanted one of there players ? if city was after haaland you can bet they play hard ball and want the full asking price

but haaland is clearly not 100m plus add ons lol, you also for some reason only count the wages in the kane deal but not haaland's wages or the money to his agent/dad

haaland would be the better option because of age and value for money
yes the price would be around £100million and wages reported to be £25 million a year

as of the agent fees and his dad cut they don't go on the final price you end up paying dortmund
its only the transfer fee the rest is undisclosed

I think we should wait until some semblance of sanity returns to the market. If this means we miss out on Kane then so be it. Now is not the time to be spending £120 million on players. We have a fantastic squad and I’d be pleased for Jesus if he’s given the opportunity to be the main man.

He got the opportunity last season, we ended up playing with a false 9 because of it. He’s a good impact sub but he’s never kicked on from that to do the job that Aguero did.

All the other critiques about injuries etc are just misplaced.

Not really sure this is true, to be honest. There's evidence to suggest people are right to be concerned about his long term fitness.

His injury record over the last five years is comparable to Sergio's, a player five years older than him and renowned for picking up injuries. Kane missed 56 games over that period and Sergio missed 63.

Evidence also suggests that his ankles are a recurrent issue, with him suffering six ankle injuries within that period; two last season.

It's the only real issue I've got with Kane. He might be fit as a fiddle for the next four or five years but I think there are real signs for concern.

I think he’s got the ability to do the job, if not Torres has impressed when he’s played there. We can also revert to false nine, with Foden, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sterling, all capable of doing that job. So no need to panic and no need to pay an over the top fee.

Wrong look at the games he plays every season.
