The whole point of this entire transfer is that Levy does want to let him go.

If he didn't, this thread would be over and we'd be buying someone else.

He didn't want to look like he was biting our hand off, and he's going to drag it out as long as possible to try and maintain his own mythology but as people have said all along - Spurs are a selling club. They sold Sol Cambell, they sold Berbatov, they sold Modric, they sold Bale, they will sell Kane.

But the deal was rumoured to have been done for weeks but was kept quite so Villa good get deals done first.

Days and weeks of social media bullshit about Grealish staying at Villa, signing a new contract, etc. Grealish had made up his mind a long time ago that he wanted to play for Pep and City.
