Harry Kane

I’d have had Kane all day long a year ago, absolutely fantastic player, but like a lot of posters I think I’m hopeful of Haaland and believe signing Kane all but confirms that Haaland would be off elsewhere. It’s very difficult to see us signing both. It’s no slant on Kane at all, and ultimately should he sign I’ll quickly become very excited.

I do struggle to see the price being right, he’ll be 28 by the time the transfer window comes around, so whatever you pay essentially covers you for 4 years top service and that’ll be that.

Peps already been here 5 years though , he may not have plans to stay for another 5 , Kane might be a ready made player he would like in that position now , delap could also be that project from the youth team .
Whilst I agree that Pep probably won’t be here another five year we don’t actually know that do we. I didn’t think that he would be here five years but he has been. I also didn’t think he’d sign another extension but he did. I just don’t see City buying Harry Kane, there are too many reason not to for City.

Kane would finish his career with us.

Mino will try and move Haaland on again in 3/4 years time imo.

Do we want the hassle with Haaland? I can see another Sane situation.

Alfie by all accounts is Haaland’s agent, not Mino. It is between Erling and Alfie that decide when and where he moves, Mino is there to broker deals between clubs (or negotiate contract renewal for him).

He’s perfect for us. Got the right die hard attitude that pep looks for in a player and under mourinho showed how good he can be dropping in and playing balls through as well as scoring. If we had him up top, dropping deep on the counter with mahrez and foden running through we would be even more deadly.

This has got all the signs of a deal half done, maybe that’s us, maybe not, I know Levy is a tough negotiator but he’s no different from any other money man when it comes to balancing the books, and I feel he is a part of (if not behind) all this speculation, are Spurs the club potentially up for sale? most thought Arsenal at the time but maybe Joe Lewis has had enough and wants to sell up. As for Kane himself, the injuries & being flogged by Spurs & England make me worry slightly but you take that risk with any player, if somebody said to Pep for £100M you can have a striker that scores headers, 30 yarders, tap ins, penalties, can guarantee you 30 goals a season, is calm assured & clinical and can drop into midfield at will, he’d pull out another Cuban & sign that player, let’s not dismiss the player because he might be another Van Persie (it does have that kind of feel about it) we should be clamouring for his signature, the guy is world class & would take the pressure off Gabby & Ferran, and would improve them both no end

I'm not convinced that extending Cavani's contract would mean United are out of the running for Kane
Cavani must have received plenty of encouragement about playing time though,as he saw his arse a couple of months back at a perceived lack of opportunity.
Then they have to fit Martial,Greenwood and Rashford into their plans.

Kane has asked to leave so he’s been tapped up, just can’t see City as a club tapping him up before a Champions League final, and as others have said this isn’t our modus operandi

We talk to agents all the time - our modus operandi is to agree with the player before approaching the club. Not saying we have tapped Harry up but we will have sounded him out at some point and his people will deffo have been sounding City out.

Stopped reading at 1.

how is the player who will become the leading goal scorer in premier league history not as good as Torres ffs? Time to log off I think
Point 1.

Ignore button explodes through excessive forum wide usage.
You'll see, tores will be better over the next five years. Kane will be 32 and have cost the money to get haaland/mbappe

I'll leave you fanboys to it

Ornstein last month was saying how Kane wanted to leave this summer I believe.

Yeah I remember that to be fair but details of it (telling City players and us being his first choice) will have been ‘known’ by him then too. Feels like he always needs to be the guy with extra info at all times.

Sorry but what 20m are you referring to? The difference between AH's sale value and his release clause is triple that figure.

next season it’s £65m buyout they sell this year minimum they can get 85m that’s the difference and are Dortmund a selling club happy to lose out on that much money? I very much doubt it..
