Harry Kane

We're not getting him I believe.
1. Torres is better
2. Kane changes the way we play if we buy him
3. It would take him a year to play our way
4. He'l be older and less fitter and more injury prone by the time he becomes a City player
5. £140m fee that Levy will screw out of anyone who buys him -
6. Let Utd or lfc buy him
Torres is better than Kane?! Jesus Christ do me a favour. Stop talking bollocks. He might end up being better and we all hope so too but currently, not a chance.

maybe we have been quoted £150m for haaland non negotiable and can get kane for £80-100m?

From a PR perspective BVB certainly doing the not for sale - unless crazy €150 + offer comes in and Sancho seems to be the one they want to cash in on...but behind the scenes anything could be happening. Raiola will want this done and he will get Haarland out of Dortmund IF we are prepared to stump up what it takes... my guess £120m including add ons. Perhaps we are considering Kane as a more viable alternative IF we have other considerations... Grealish, Messi et al.

If he did move, tomorrow would be his final home game (with fans).

I suspect part of shouting up now is ensuring they appreciate it may be the last time they see him play for spurs

Petro dollars being printed across North London to throw onto the pitch....in latest fans protest!

If he ends up at City I just hope they put a clause in his contract banning him from giving interviews cos he sounds like he’s got mouth full of mad monk:-)

You'll see, tores will be better over the next five years. Kane will be 32 and have cost the money to get haaland/mbappe

I'll leave you fanboys to it
I hope you’re right Nostradamus! But the chances are immeasurably slim.

I’m personally turned off Kane due to his shithousery backing in and diving antics - granted that might change if the blue specs go on - but there’s no way you can deny he’s a lethal finisher and would improve the team in the short term.

I do agree with you, in that; I hope we don’t choose the older “here and now” striker, over a push for Haaland/Mbappe for similar money.

We’ve proven we can get to a CL final without a ready made striker - I’d rather roll the dice on a young phenom than know we’d be hunting again in 4 years.

Any potential transfer will be settled on the Levy-Kane dynamic and how that plays out. Levy really doesn't want him to go unless the number was astronomical, i'm thinking stupid money here 300m etc. Mainly because he is the only real star man they have besides Son. There is a lot of commercial value and kudos attached to Kane staying, hard to buy the latter of the two.

Kane by all accounts is not one to really kick up a fuss unless he has his limits and enough is enough, where is his mind on this, is he adamant on his decision to go or could he be cajoled by Levy with a wage increase into "sticking it out". I say that because Levy won't give an inch, i think that is a given in all this. Kane will, i think, have to kick up a real fuss, stating stuff to Levy like he won't do a load of press/media commitments and that he will only do the bare minimum, begrudgingly so. All due to Levy's unwillingness in helping Kane get a smooth transfer at a price clubs can stomach.

For us i think what we would pay and what Levy will demand will be a large difference. A cash plus player deal is the only way i see it happening if we are interested. No way are we paying over 100m+ for a 28yo with questionable ability to complete the majority of a season injury free, no matter how good he is. United are watching the pennies as evidenced by re-signing Cavani as their main man with Chelsea a seeming non option going of the growing rivalry between the clubs.

TL;DR What level will Kane go to in order to force a move, how much will Levy try and stop it.

Would be a great scorer for City but too much of a **** for me. Watch the video below where he does Sterling. I know it's slow motion but you can still see him clearly extend his leg at the end of the slide to deliberately do Sterling with his studs when he knows the ball isn't there.
And the more I watch his backing into players who are mid-jump to win a foul the worse it looks. Only a matter of time before that gets someone seriously injured. Just a snide bastard.

next season it’s £65m buyout they sell this year minimum they can get 85m that’s the difference and are Dortmund a selling club happy to lose out on that much money? I very much doubt it..

I think for Dortmund the issue is less about money and more about the integrity of their business model. They speculate big money on rising stars - nurture them by giving them lots of playing time and then (in theory) sell them on to elite clubs for big profit. If Dortmund are seen to block Harland moving on this summer it could mean agents are reluctant to let their clients go there - if their clients development is hampered by Dortmund.

Deal already done with man utd.

Source; Joe a rag on Talksport, especially if they get rid of Drogba.

Bruce the City fan thinks he is nailed on at City. These guys are a comedy show.

The other 'advantage' of signing Kane is that he shouldn't hamper the trajectory of Delap. If our boy lives up to expectation and continues to progress as he is,then he will still only be 22ish when Kane begins to slow down.Clearly a loan/buy back may be in play but it does give us the extra flexibility that Haalands arrival wouldn't.

The other side of that argument is signing Haaland means we wouldnt need Delap anyway, and we can probably get decent money for him.

Alfie by all accounts is Haaland’s agent, not Mino. It is between Erling and Alfie that decide when and where he moves, Mino is there to broker deals between clubs (or negotiate contract renewal for him).
That is a lovely view bud but not realistic. Mino will be heavily involved.
