Harry Kane

You think we can get Kane for less than £65 mil? Bloody hell mate the top scorer and assist maker in the league last season isn’t going to come cheap
I doubt we'll get him for any less than £100M, but we are taking a risk that a 28 year old player will just drop into the team, start banging the goals in and hitting high numbers. He might, but he might not. If we're really lucky we'll get one season at best of peak Kane, and I just don't think he's worth it.

Gutted if the news is true about Kane… If Haaland goes to Chelsea I think we’ve fucked up big time

If the price being reported is anywhere close to the truth then we’ve been well and truly bent over by Levy.. I thought we were smarter than that

For me Kane is a bottler who goes missing in the big games… Not sure why Pep can’t see that or is his ego so big that he thinks he can fix it?
Kane is a bottler who had the highest goals and assists in the league last season in a team which qualified for Europa. I dont mind Foden, KDB picking up the goals in the big games if Kane is doing 30+ for us.

With regards to Haaland, none of us know his situation. Bayern could move for him next season with his clause coming into effect and they do tend to have a way with Bundesliga players. There are the Rags also who have conveniently extended Cavani's contract only by a year. Also Kane has done it for much longer than Haaland.

What do you mean, we've fucked up big time? Just because we might want a player it doesn't mean it's reciprocated. You can't have something that isn't available, and if Haaland doesn't want to come here then he isn't available. That is not fucking up. You can't fuck up on something that isn't there in the first place.
This is Haaland we’re talking about .. the same Haaland who wore a City shirt as a kid and who’s Dad played for the club… The lad wants to come alright but we don’t seem to want to bite the bullet and pay the agent’s fee… Very reminiscent of the Hazard situation

I'm not going to argue with you because I'm buzzing. Feel free to continue expressing your opinion however you see fit and I'll do the same. You're one of my favourite posters on here so I apologise if you felt my initial post was a dig at you!

Not at all. Well maybe a little but flattery will get you everywhere.

Don't be so naive.

I voted no and even I think that’s harsh! Let’s assume 120m before wages and agent fees….even at that it’s a solid deal for us long term in this inflation looming world.

IMO, the 60m doesnt include wages but instead includes performance related bonuses AND an slightly inflated fee of a makeweight player in the transaction.

I'd be surprised is we were actually paying more than 100m cash upfront.

Again, just my opinion.

Can’t get excited over this at all. Is there something wrong with me. I wake up to read that this is on and my first reaction isn’t one of excitement even though we are about to shell out on one of the greatest premier league forwards.
Maybe I’m a bit clouded as I was all on for Haaland but I hope he is a hit here and does well.

I feel the same… Kane doesn’t excite me at all

Personally think this is crazy. The problem is that the pool of players available to replace prime Kun is small.

At 28 Kane is one of them. The gamble is how many prime years do we get.
