Harry Kane

It now suits no one to drag it out any longer? City want Kane, Kane wants City, Spurs will need a replacement etc and maybe a couple of more signings with the money? £120-130m gets it done quickly imo.
It needs to get done quickly, but not sure it will, at least publicly. No way Spurs want the sale public before we play them and he wont be fit anyway, so no need to upset the cheese eaters. Sort the deal, let them buy a replacement whilst still saying he's not for sale to keep their buying price down and then announce it the week after we play them.

What I suspect will happen is it'll be done very close to the deadline with us having to pay a bit more than we wanted and Spurs having no time to get a replacement, which Levy will be gutted about as he pays off their highest interest debt with the money.

If we can get “one of our own “ over the line next week it’ll be a summer mure exciting than when we signed Rolando Bianchi for me,ahhhhh memories

I remember going to West Ham first game completely clueless who was who! Good times

Kane is Spurs most important asset and they have completely alienated him. A disaster for Spurs. They didn't want to sell him but once the player wants to go you have to tread very carefully. £150m is laughable. I think think will go the distance and Spurs will be forced sellers whatever Solekhol claims. They may hold his contract but he's the Captain of their club and he feels betrayed. There's no coming back from this. You get the most money you can and rebuild.
Lloris I think. Kane is Vice

He knew ... like everybody else did.. that he wanted out before he joined
1st question in his interview would have been "is Harry staying or not"? I would guess the answer was no, but you'll have £100m to buy a load of Portugese players, no-one has ever heard of. No way Nuno took the job without knowing

To be fair Nuno is in a bit of a predicament. Imagine joining a new club and upon arrival your star striker wants out. Must be awkward.
That was known before he got offered the job let alone joined them, and was news while they were still trying to get the last bloke back and then a few Italians in before him

Levy told him he would sit in the stands and play in the reserves. He didn't, and played the best season of his time for us, and left the next year. In his book, he said he respected Levy's decision even though he didn't like it and admitted he didn't like the way it ended.
@InLevyITrust - it seems to me Levy is in a stick or twist situation. I assume Nuno will want funds to build his squad, and there is obvious debt to pay for the stadium (which I’m sure is well secured but COVID wouldn’t have helped)… what other assets could levy use to raise significant capital (Kane and to a lesser extent son aside ?)

I maybe mistaken but I don’t see another £50M+ player in the Spurs squad… so I would have assumed the timing to cash-in on Kane would have been now. Seems to me after Grealish signing and the post COVID market that £130M will be the compromise rate for Spurs to sell and give Nuno time to get his bodies in line

next year kanes value diminishes (1yr older and 1yr less on his contract)…IF he was to get a serious injury (ala Leroy Sane) then his value would plummet…
