The premier league can be tough on small players who need to be equisite to perform at elite level. Those too who are a little on the lazy side. Absolute monster units like Haaland who score for fun in every league/tourney they have been near dont need testing. Haaland would bag 30 a season minimum...easy.

He's done it in the champions league...what more does anyone need.

I agree there could be some post-Brexit restrictions on non-English / UK players which has no doubt influenced the decision making.

I just think with £250m on two players, you could be looking at two talents who are going to be the decisive players of their generation for the next 10 years.

Mbappe, Haaland spring to mind. Not sure I’d put Grealish in their category. And Kane is 6 or 7 years older than both.

This looks like a pivotal summer to me. But not pivotal in that we’re buying quality we’ve never had before. But pivotal in that we’ve never overspent this much before.
