I think that Messi is to blame for our Striker situation.
When he had the first fall out with Barcelona, I think we thought we could bring him in. Allegedly he even phoned Pep. Telling him he wanted to join. Fucking us about. Then decided to stay at Barcelona.
Then he became available again on a free transfer. Whilst we were going after Kane.
I think Kane went on the back burner
I think the Club thought Messi would come here given his last overtures to Pep.

I think he fucked us over in 2020 but not this Summer, I don't think we were ever interested this year purely because of what happened last year (and in 2016 etc etc).

I really don’t get the melt down after yesterday, we didn’t learn anything we didn’t already know! We knew the limitations of the starting 11 in the same way we did against Leicester. Realistically we’ve been narrowly beaten by 2 teams who will be fighting in the top half of the table come the end of the season and we did it without Walker, stones, zin, Rodri, Phil, Harry and pretty much Kev too…. That’s 2/3 of our best 11!
