Maybe, maybe not, just think they are complete mugs if they turn down the money City are supposedly offering, given the state of their debt. And Spurs aren't finishing top 4 with or without Kane this season, its not as though keeping him is the difference between CL money and no CL money, they are deluded if they believe that.

Rejected which targets? City are not walking away because there are no other targets, if they land Kane cool if they don’t we move on.

I’ve been following this thread as much as most blues and I’ve been hopeful we sign Kane, but the longer it has gone on the more I’ve become disheartened. I was never fully sold on spending 100M+ on a 28yr old, now I am dead set against it. I hope we steer clear now. I hope we go with what we have, and I’ve now doubt with our squad, we’ll still be in the mix! I hope we give Delap minutes and I hope next year, we are in the conversation for Haaland or Mbappe.

cant really blame him, he's their prize asset and has a long term contract. Be like someone coming in for KDB, we wouldnt want to sell and would only hold out for the maximum possible price thats almost a ridiculous fee. I dont understand why a top player wouldnt have a buyout clause in their contract, especially at a club where there is a good chance of a change in managers and you could potentially fall out of favour - you should have an exit strategy rather than tying yourself up.

I've asked them many times if they knew about Kane while chatting about Grealish and they said they honestly hadn't heard anything either way. They got in touch with me for the first time when they heard sumat, coincidentally as they were passing on their congrats ahead of my wedding day lol.

Secondly, I find it tough to believe that, the club wouldn't have had that conversation way earlier in the year.

Makes me wonder, if Haaland was the original target we had in mind back in February, March, April, and through a combination of Dortmund making the top 4 and not needing money the way we thought, and us thinking Kane was really available and it would be an easier deal to do, made us go for Kane instead. and now that it looks like it won't get done, we have gone back to the original plan of a younger striker.
 
I've never been keen on Kane, his value to spurs doesn't match his value to us, I don't think he fits into this side and there's potentially better available. However, we've seemingly put all of our eggs into this basket so we simply have to sign him now at any cost. We've had Pep and khaldoon comment multiple times about refreshing the squad and not standing still after a title win, letting our only striker go and bringing in another technical left midfielder to compete with foden, sterling, torres, jesus, mahrez, Bernardo, gundogan and kdb for the same role doesn't push us up a level.

We cannot go into the season strikerless. Yes we managed fine last season without one but it was far from ideal and every single one of us on here at some point bemoaned the lack of a striker. Expecting us to produce similar results without the element of surprise and the unknown that we had last season with managers not knowing how to respond to it and after our rivals have heavily reinforced is unrealistic. Liverpool went most of the season unbeaten and got 99 points 2 seasons ago with what was an inferior squad to what they have now on paper yet nobody expects that to happen again.

I keep hearing that Haaland has agreed to join Real Madrid next summer. And if that's true, his apparent availability is a bit of a mirage.

I can blame him for acting like a ****.
Going back on gentlemen’s agreement, or at least refusing to define it properly, which I guess you could blame Kane but the contract makers are always taking advantage when they purposefully leave information out.

The bogus guesswork will no doubt go into overdrive, given that it's the last week of the window. I now intend to believe nobody and nothing until I see it for myself.

When I look in here I just start 2 pages back and if it has not gone on 30 pages before I read them both ,,,,then nothing has changed.
