Amazing today, but we played into his and Spurs hands. Haaland is the one we should hope for though.

As I said before the game and all last summer Kane is the ideal forward for us, he drops deep has unbelievable passing range and can play the typical 9 role. With him we could play false 9 system or a typical 4 3 3. Haaland at this stage of his career is worse than Kane in almost every facet of the game.

Haaland would make us extremely one dimensional and I would be shocked if pep wanted him. Get the feeling people see the odd clip of haaland and assume he is world class but his hold up play and passing is way below our standard currently.

False 9 has served us well up to now. Pep got it wrong with Bernie in the false 9. Kev is not playing at the same level. His passing against Spurs when off only enable teams to counter easily bypassing midfield. Hopefully lessons will be learned. The teams character needs to rise to meet the challenge. No point yapping now about a forward.
