I have my doubts as to whether Kane actually wants to go to Bayern. I could be wrong but I think he would rather beat Shearer's record than win a couple of bundesliga titles which no one really cares about.

I think either United will come in with a big offer late in the window or he'll run down his contract and go there on a free transfer next summer if they're still interested.

Levy needs to learn how to move on. Big clubs move on their biggest players all the time, and some of them went on to do better - Liverpool/Coutinho, Chelsea/Hazard, us/Aguero. Sometimes teams need to be dismantled in order for the club to grow. Another trophyless season and Spurs will have gained nothing from Kane leaving.

And I wonder how all these will look to the other players that Spurs will look to sign. You win nothing at the club yet you can't leave. The pay isn't even as good as what you can get at other big clubs.

I think he is terrified of life on the other side. Kane bailed them out a lot last year with late goals to equalize and other key goals. Levy knows if they slide town the table without Kane everybody will be looking at him.

That's how I remember it too. The £130m figure was mostly claimed by Billy Shears as the prediction of what it would get done for, maybe got a similar mention elsewhere. But more as an expectation than a bid.

With or without Kane Bayern will win the Bundesliga, because that’s what happens. Over and over and over.
If on the other hand they think getting Kane will alone get them the CL, they’re wrong on that, in my view. They’ll be good, but not good enough. Such, at any rate, is my prediction.

As for Kane the smart money should be sticking around for one more season then have a pick of clubs on a free, with a rewarding signing on fee and can reasonably ask for an improvement on his current salary for a couple of seasons. He is still good for 30 goals despite being half arsed at spursy.

What's their plan B or back-up? They haven't been linked with any other striker, and not that many strikers out there.

I suppose they Could always sign Lukaku. Chelsea would sell for probably 40m, he'd get a top club, and the manager loves him.
