Maybe, but if homegrown is the reason I'd much prefer signing Chilwell for his release and dealing with Zinchenko/Mendy later, replacing Muric/Bravo in the squad with a homegrown keeper, or replacing Danilo in the squad. It doesn't make a ton of sense for me to use a foreign slot on a backup keeper, but we have for years.I assume the willingness of city to sign this player for that price is because we are letting Delph leave.
