Harry Maguire

Maybe, but if homegrown is the reason I'd much prefer signing Chilwell for his release and dealing with Zinchenko/Mendy later, replacing Muric/Bravo in the squad with a homegrown keeper, or replacing Danilo in the squad. It doesn't make a ton of sense for me to use a foreign slot on a backup keeper, but we have for years.

I think Music counts as a club trained player now. Or am I wrong?

There are some right spoilt babies on here.

Correct, fucking mard arses, questioning a manager like Pep, creaming their pants over a 19 year old Dutch boy who’s yet to be really challenged in a proper league-who incidentally looks like he’s never had any intention of coming to us.

Quality signing Maguire if true and Pep will improve him.

I don't think they must be old enough to remember the likes of Mark Seagraves, Brian Gayle and David Brightwell. Didn't Mark Hughes spend 90 million recruiting Kolo Toure and Joleon Lescott? Maguire is a Rolls-Royce of a player compared to those two.

Again, he'd be a squad player. Not for 90m, which of course we won't pay.

I don't think other types of players will want to come of the right critera unless Nico is off and we are going to need a 4th HG player from somewhere assuming we want rid of Delph.

Who is willing to come also depends on if Pep really wants to keep the kind of rotation he had at CB? I happen to think it's problematic as when we rotated more it seemed we leaked more goals, and I wonder if he mostly did it to keep players happy, not just avoid injuries (Although Vinny and Stones have had their share).

Stones has to do better next season, and Pep will want him to fight for his place with competition, but I can't see it being De Ligt, so who else?

We've already discussed Ake, who won't come cheap either, but I think Pep wants someone really strong in the air and physically strong if you're not getting De Ligt, without Vinny and possibly Nico.

The "we once had Lee Bradbury up front so we should grateful if we sign Dwight Gale" attitude.

Waste of money.

We already have Laporte, Stones, Tosin, Sandler, Eric Garcia, maybe Otamendi, Fernandinho or any full back to fill in there when needed.

Not sure Tosin and Sandler are PL quality. Ferna won't be around for much longer. We do not know for sure that Garcia will be of the quality we will need. We need a centre-half.

For all I think I know about football - this bloke in charge of City right now has done more than enough to earn my total trust and confidence. If he thinks he can mould Maguire into our team - then he gets my support.

I hope we’re not considering making Harry fucking Maguire the most expensive CB in history????

This must be a joke. Even at £60m he’s over priced.

Harry is good but he’s not even top 10 in the world. If we can get him for cheap I’d take it but these fees are too much.

Our club has the incredible pulling power of having Pep Guardiola as our manager for only a couple more years. It would be a huge missed opportunity if we wasted it signing mediocre, overpriced English players like Chilwell and Maguire.

Well the sooner Pep fucks off to Juventus the better ; )
