Nothing to do with your general point here, which I agree with, but Maguirão is a more accurate Portuguese name for this guy I think.

I wouldn't mind him for up to some 50 mil. Above that and we'd be a laughing stock as long as the move doesn't be proved to be a brilliant one. It really would be silly to pay anywhere close to what we are going to get for Sane. English or not.
