Harry Maguire

I expect a big season from John Stones this time around, Laporte is a City legend in the making and Harwood-Bellis and Garcia are 2 of the top young CB prospects around.

Is there really a need to spend a huge transfer fee on Maguire? One of those four mentioned would have to be sold in year or two if Maguire were brought in imo

Along with Otamendi, that's a great scenario should it all go to plan......if it doesn't,then we could very quickly find ourselves up the creek - a reliable, quality, extra body offers the reassurance of option and competitiveness across all tournaments.

This season,i expect us to go hard for the league and european double - we need strength in depth and experience to do such.

Leicester just trying to up the price. City may have been interested at half the reported Leicester valuation but clearly not now. Average player who would not be a guaranteed starter. Rags will probably get rinsed and help over inflate the market even more.

Re John Stones - lots of false dawns. Whenever he starts to do well he doesn’t for a variety of reasons sustain it ! I hope he can this time.

Possibly doing the same as Mahrez tried, if memory correct he also went sick before being more public about wanting out !!!!!!!

Agree with this. For some reason he can't the same level of consistency. Look at Kompany years of playing at such a high high level every single week. Stones doesn't seem to be one of those lads that's ever short on confidence he'll always try to keep doing what hes doing which is great, But he suffers big with lapses of concentration.
My main fault with him he's too soft to be a centre back he needs to be far more aggressive to reach higher standards.

Him and laporte were flawless till Pep took Stones out the side.

Didn't Stones get injured playing for England? Then came back when not fully fit, made a few cock ups and lost confidence.
Or was that the previous season? All these titles are blending into one...

I am sure that once a fee is agreed with Leicester Txixi and Pep will have a discussion about nipping in for him, that's not to say we will buy him but i am sure they will debate it.

Let's say a fee of £75 million is agreed with the Rags then we have an option to match it in the same way every other club does. I think we know that it is going to take £75 million to get him and it's better for us to step back until a fee is agreed rather than getting into a bidding war.
