I would like to believe the idea that our attack can manage without signing another forward if Sané leaves and instead strengthening our defence given the clear weakness. But I hope it's not wasted on slabhead of all.

I doubt it - Rags did not meet the asking price but offered way more than us, if they were going to drop it then Rags would still be willing to pay more than us. If he goes I think it is 80/20 that rags will get him for between £70-80m.

I expect a big season from John Stones this time around, Laporte is a City legend in the making and Harwood-Bellis and Garcia are 2 of the top young CB prospects around.

Is there really a need to spend a huge transfer fee on Maguire? One of those four mentioned would have to be sold in year or two if Maguire were brought in imo
