So you don’t the Van dyke would have improved us? Plus it would have weakened the dippers
 
i think we have added to the funds with Fabian and my memories fucked how much have we got in the incomings tray so far? My point is some buys are deemed not necessary . i think with Vincent gone this one is because so few centre-halves of genuine quality and some times as liverpool did with VVD You have to go OTT but for the present market is it? The game is awash with money and we are talking silly money for the very average Either way i do not think Pep spends the clubs money without deeming it totally necessary to his plans in achieving silverware

but that is if pep really want him ??? we have 3 center backs and 2 or 3 that can cover, silly mistakes are hard to question pep and city when you win the lot in england

yes adding more power to the defence would be ideal but making somebody sign or making somebody leave could upset the whole squad, a happy camp is the key to pep and city and just bring in somebody and not believing or trust in what you have all ready sends the wrong message
 
I don't think Otamendi leaving changes anything...there was always a chance he was going to leave. If Leicester don't lower their demands then we won't be buying Maguire. Otamendi leaving would also open up a foreign spot so it's not like his replacement has to be homegrown.

Also recent reports indicate that he's happy to go to us or United, so if they offer the cash that we don't then I don't see him having a problem going there. It's not like there aren't other CBs out there, especially those at a much better price.

Do you not think he would have made us stronger at the back? And also prevented the dippers from signing possibly their most influential player into bargain.
Not criticising city in any way here, I’m just looking at what I think would have been an improvement
 
Not always is your best team the best 11 players....a treble is an improvment on a double...bum bum

Vandyke got away with murder cos mahrez missed the pen....no commentators mentioned him being rather numb putting a needless tackle in with pitch running out....they never mentioned it...funny that...good job it wasnt otta

your right he would make us a stronger unit, but will it come at a cost to the setup and movement and speed, harry maguire only problem is the speed and turn he lacks but reading the game gets you a bonus and out of jail at times and having the build and power and good in the air, so could be a great signing or a gamble its a tight one for me
